i'm sure that mmu color suggestions are scattered throughout the forum, but i was having trouble finding what i was looking for. i was wondering what mineral makeup blushes you've tried and liked (and disliked!) from the various brands, what look they gave you (flushed, tanned, dewy, matte, shimmery, etc.) and what your skin tone is (so i have a better idea if they would work for me too). i'm primarily interested in blushes by alima, lumiere, and pureluxe, since i've heard the best things in general about these brands, and i definitely don't want blushes with any bismuth in them. just to give you an idea of what i'm looking for, i'm fair, with pinkish/peachy undertones (probably cool) - in lumiere i'm a 50/50 mix of light cool and light beige. i'm looking for a blush (without shimmer) that will give me that "just in from the cold" flushed look. i already own the alima blush brush which is great, and so far my favorite mmu blush is lumiere's poppy, which is a really natural soft pink on me. i guess i'm looking for something with just a bit more color (red and pinkish but ok for fair skin?) for days when all i'm wearing is blush and mascara, but without any brown/peach. any suggestions would be great!

Hi Sark! Unfortunately I don't think I can help. I LOVE Alima's blushes, but I only wear their shimmery blushes. However, if you decide you want to try shimmery blush this is a great time to do it as all of Alima's blushes and blush samples are 20% off til March 20th. My favorite color is Sugar Rose--- it's this neutral beigy pink that's very easy to wear. HTH!

I think your question is excellent. I have wanted to ask it many times, but didn't want another thread that turns into "my favorite blush," regardless of what you're really asking.

I am Light Medium Beige in Lumiere Flawless Face. I'm very neutral, although maybe a bit more pink. You might like Wild Rose Veena blush from Lumiere. It might be the most natural looking blush I've found for my skintone. I think it would be a little bit darker than the Poppy. It has no shine/shimmer/sparkle. I aso love Clay Veena blush. Again, no shine. It is somewhat neutral, a touch of coral/pink. This is my favorite when I don't want pink. Also, Sienna mineral blush from Lumiere might look a bit scary, but, for me, it is the just-in-from-the-cold blush. I just have to use a very light hand. It's pretty, slight shimmer, but certainly no sparkle. Once I got used to it, being darker than my usual look, I love it. The non-MMU blush tht gives me this same effect, is Nars Outlaw. Happy sampling!

Hi Sark! I will be watching this thread will interest as it sounds like we are fairly similar in colouring. In Alima I wear a mix of C-1 (light cool) with a touch of N-1 and W-1.

I have only tried a couple of Alima's matte blushes - Apple Blossom, Pink and Carnation. Of those Apple Blossom is my favourite. It is a really pretty soft pink which just gives me a very natural flushed look. The Pink has too much of a red undertone for my complexion (makes me look like a clown Embarassed ) and the Carnation is just too dark/orangy brown for me.
