My sister sent me these pics of baby pandas. Can't believe how tiny they are when they're first born. I wish human babies were that tiny when they were born and just grow outside of us.
The day I was born:
Check out my progress:
Back with Mama:
I finally got a black nose and a clean bill of health from the doc:

oh that is the cutest thing I've seen all day. Ooooh I love cute pictures. Thanks for posting that! I'm still deathly ill right now with this stupid cold, and to add to the fun my womanly visitor is decided to pay me a visit so I feel like i'm going to die slowly and painfully today. I enjoyed the panda pictures!!!
Oh in other news of animal births. The world's first sex select PUPPIES have just been born!
http://www.petpeoplesplace.com/resources/news/107.htm
"While this technology typically guarantees at least a 90-percent accuracy rate in selecting for the desired offspring in cattle and other animals in which the technology has been rigorously field-tested and used in breeding for many years, the Labrador litter of sex-selected puppies was 60 percent accurate in delivering the desired sex - female." Hi BKKGIRL. Those are incredible. My fiance SO has always had a thing for pandas & got to hold a baby one for 10 minutes when he visited China a few years ago. It's amazing they start out that small! Thanks for sharing! |

Hi c4ward, can you tell us more about how one can get to hold these adorable creatures? My friend just LOVES pandas, and my boyfriend and I love them, too (just not obsessed like my friend LOL). We would love to hold one for 10 minutes, too. Last year, we went to Thailand and got to hold a baby bengal tiger. That was really fun. |

I have a thing about pandas. I absolutely love them. If there's one thing I would like to do in my life-time it's go to that place in China and hold a panda. The only thing is they are susceptable to picking up human bugs like colds and as there's only 1600 left in the world (in the Wild), it would terrify me that my need to cuddle a panda might be detrimental to him. |

OMG! That is just so darned cute! Pandas look sooooo sweet and docile - just like giant stuffed animals. But, they are incredibly fierce. I saw video of a guy who decided to sit down in front of a panda cage at a zoo. The panda came up behind him and even though it was still inside its cage, it proceeded to shred the poor man! |

I haven't heard of this news. That's terrible. I didn't know that Panda bears will do that to human unprovoked. Wow, gotta watch out for these wild beasts. |

I want to hold one in my lap, too. We'll just have to be sure we're not sick when we visit them. |

I saw a documentary on baby Panda's and was surprised at how much noise the littlest ones could make. They are too cute. |
