I've been reading on MUA about how some are loving OSEA even better than La Mer cream (which does wonders for my fine lines but I'm trying to use all natural ingredients).
So, to those who use OSEA Advanced Protection cream and the Osea Eye cream, have you also tried La Mer original moisturizer and how does it compare?
Or, could you just tell me if this OSEA Advanced Cream will more than likely help for forehead fine lines and crow's feet area and neck area where I'm getting lines that are deeper and deeper, eeeekk
I've been using Skinceutical's CE Ferulic in the areas where i have fine lines and then la Mer and then UV Natural Sunscreen, and it works great, but I need to switch to all natural.
I'm going to order samples of "Candy's" Vit. C serum and other serums she has and maybe samples of PSF skincare.
Oh, I tried PSF Stimu-coll eye cream and really disliked it very much, it made my fine lines WAY worse, very drying, very irritating. |

I have the Osea cleanser, toner and moisturiser and they are some of my absolute favorite products an in fact the only products I have bought more than once. I have not tried Creme De La Mer as I am not keen on the mineral oil, lanolin and parabens in this brand. Osea is completely pure and beautifully packaged in glass bottles with pump. I don't really have any lines, but I can report glowing, well balanced skin from using this. I actually suffered terrible break outs when I ran out of Osea and started using other products. |

To "Smoothskin", thank you: do you have the Advanced Protectant Moisturizer or another one? I've heard the Ocean Lotion is great, have you tried any of that yet? Thanks, I am hoping the Osea website I emailed will have some samples for me, or I may just have to buy the trial sets, one of them.
Also wondering, what other products do you love, because I'm trying to find the best "natural" stuff w/o petroleum, mineral oil, and glycols and "bad" stuff that causes my fibro to flare up, also glycols are bad for me and maybe silicones are bad. |

Hi Luvsgracy, I have the Atmosphere Protection Cream which has such a lovely light texture. I have had samples of the Advanced Protection Cream and it really is mega moisture. It plumps up fine lines and has a slightly sticky texture. I also have the cleanser and the mist which are gorgeous. The mist never irritates my eyes.
The thing is for me, I prefer to use all natural products, but find it difficult to find some that have a cosmetically elegant formula. Often, the natural lines are based on beeswax which is too heavy for my skin or they are heavily scented with essential oils. I have not found a natural line that I have been completely happy with before Osea. |

Thank you Smoothskin
Sounds like I'll like both moisturizers, the heavier one at night for my forehead/crow's feet and neck area I'm thinking.
Essential Oils irritate my skin, also, a lot of times. However, I'm finding a cleanser I like for my acne by Simply Devine Botanicals called "You Can't Zit Here", but it is strong, but does seem to really help clear my skin without it causing too much irritation, in fact, my skin is calmer and way less red. It has "healing" oils in it but "lathers up" and is not oily, and leaves no film at all, leaves my skin squeaky clean which is what I like. I don't recommend it for super sensitive skins with no acne, it's for acne-prone skins. This cleanser has helped me more than any other I've tried for acne skin with less dryness, but that's just me; just thought I'd share in case others with acne-prone want to try samples, I believe they sell sample sizes of the products. I'm not affiliated in any way with them at all.
Then, for my sensitive acne-prone skin, after using the cleanser, I just put on 100% Sea Kelp Gel mixed with 100% Apple Juice and a drop of lime juice and sometimes I add VERY diluted glycerin water for some emollience, and my skin's doing much better!. I have fibro and have to be ULTRA strict with what I use, so I just started making my own.
But I am always trying to find some cream for my forehead/crow's feet area for the fine lines, as i never break out there. i loved La Mer cream so much, it REALLY helps, but can't use it too much anymore
I want to try Eminence Organics badly. I wrote to them (emailed) but haven't received a reply about if they give out samples.
I hope I get to try the Osea soon, I'm waiting to hear from the company I heard they give out samples but I'm not sure about that.
Oh yes, another brand I've looked into, is Paul Penders, I want to try the Aloe gel stuff and the Acne gel stuff. Has anyone here at all tried Paul Penders? |

Hi!
I am, I think, Osea's most dedicated customer... I've used it for 14 years now, and it is the ONLY skincare line that I've ever been consistent with. I can say that the eyes and lips cream is one of the best creams on the market--I keep it in my bag at all times. I mostly love using it over the hydrating oil after I go swimming--it really plumps up the eye area and leaves it looking satiny, not shiny. It's the only combination that really gets rid of the red marks around my eyes after I swim with goggles. I also use the advanced protection cream over my retinol cream (currently Eluage) at night, and it is truly wonderful. The texture does take some getting used to, but it is similar to la mer's but without all those bogus ingredients. My friends buy advanced protection cream in bulk, which I think is crazy--I just ration it.
My ultimate favorite product that I could never live without, though, is the white alge mask. I use it once a week, and it gives me the same effects as with Valmont Renewing pack, but it is half the price. If you were going to try osea, and you have normal skin, I'd get:
--cleansing milk
--small cleansing mud (once a week before hydrating mask)
--white alge mask
--advanced protection cream--
I asked the company and they said you can use apc in lieu of atmosphere protection cream (my SO uses my old bottle) during the day, as well--but I use sunscreen (Epicuren).
If only osea made an amazing sunscreen and a retinol product, I'd be a true, dyed in the wool osea devotee. But I use other things, too.
What I especially love about them is that they do not make false or unnatural claims, and they are just trying to offer the most active natural ingredients at (kind-of) affordable prices.
I am a testament to these products though--people always think I'm in my early 20s, and I'm almost 31! but, obsessively trying to stave off any signs of aging nevertheless... This forum isn't helping me stick to one skincare brand AT ALL!
--avalange
p.s. I also use SC's CE Ferulic, for a couple of years now, and I find it works well with the osea regime. |

Thank you "avalange" for great information. I have not had any response from the company yet, but I emailed them only about 3 days ago and it's the holidays, so I'll wait and see. I tried calling but they just have their answering machine on, and I hate leaving messages. I'm hoping they have some tiny samples of their stuff but I don't have my hopes real high. I just will probably buy the trial set for sensitive skin.
Thanks for letting me know your results |

sure, luvsgracy!
Also, you should ask for Melissa in customer service, she will give you samples--say you're my friend (Lauren) and she will hook you up. I've been such a dedicated customer for years, they know me
And, I've posted a pic in the lounge forum, so you can see what continual osea use has done for me... let me know how it goes!

Where do you buy it from?
Also, what is your age group, if you do not mind.
TIA,

TO "AVALANGE" ; Thank you SO much for letting me tell Osea customer service your name in order to help me perhaps have some luck at getting much needed samples. I always have to try samples because of my asthma, so I really thank you!!!
To "SIGMA", you asked where do you buy Osea skin care? and I'm a new member here, so I cannot give the full website, but if you do a search on "google" for Osea Skin care then their website will come up in the first few search results probably.
Also, you asked about our ages, and I believe "avalange" stated she was almost 31 years old but looked like she was in her early 20s.
I, however, am much older, 51, and just recently REALLY started having lots more fine lines since having to discontinue using my Beloved La Mer moisturizing cream (I discontinued it due to having to use all natural products because of fibromyalgia and asthma, so I'm searching for something with mostly natural ingredients that is as good as my La Me cream which I always used on my neck and crow's feet area where I never break out. (The La Mer eye balm by the way I never liked, but the original cream was the best for fine lines). I can't use it on other parts of my face, it breaks me out. But for fine lines it has definiltely been the only thing that helped me to a great degree and that my undereye area could tolerate without becoming severely irritated (yes, I also used the original La Mer cream on my undereyes, because their eye balm was definitely not moisturizing enough for my undereyes).
Of course pure emollient oils , moisturizing oils, usually don't hurt my undereyes, but they haven't helped near as much as the La Mer did.
Anyway, I sure hope I love the Osea products adn thanks everyone for helping with my questions . |

Thanks, guys!
I was just trying to determine of it is good for over 40 crowd.
I have used La Mer and actually did not like it too much, ended up using it as an eye cream.
I was not overly impressed with PSF Stimul-C either - it dried up the under eye area.
So I am still searching for a good eye cream.
Thanks,
Lucy. |

Hello All,
Yes, I'm only testament to prevention... Last night, however, I had a nice moment where, post aspirin mask (just 3 aspirin and a small dollop of plain yogurt), I layered Advanced Protection cream on top of the Eluage serum and then topped it off with SC's Hydrating B5 gel, and I was amazed at the sensation of "activity" involved in this particular concoction. Immediately, my entire skin began to glow and tingle.
If you use Advanced Protection cream, you will notice a couple of things:
1. that your skin tingles and feels "plumped"
2. that it feels extremely heavy on the skin, but that it absorbs rather quickly
3. that your lines definitely feel plumped up
----
The HA in the b5 gel just added to this effect, however temporary!
But today, when I woke up, my skin was still glowing and very soft.
I believe that osea is an amazing base product, but you do have to supplement it with other products, such as retinol/retin-a, sunscreen, vitamin c, and the occasional 'peel.'
If you are over 40, I'd recommend the cleansing milk, advanced protection cream, hydrating oil, and hydrating mask.
what i love most about these products is that I can feel them working on my skin--they are extremely active, so it is an excellent idea to try them out first before you commit to buying, since you never know how your skin will react. I cannot say that these products make you feel like they are going to remodel or change your skin; they are more like along the lines of being safe, aromatherapeutic, and active everyday care--a kind of foundation for other treatments.
Good luck!
--avalange
p.s. I've tried La Mer many times, but was always put off by their reliance on mineral oil, which always gives me a bad reaction. |

If you do a search for OSEA on the product review forum here you can find my reviews of the products I tried.
Adavnced protection cream, eyes & lips and the white algae mask are my lemmings at present.
LOVE the cleanser and the mist and have really grown into the Ocean Lotion too.
You can buy direct from the company atwww.oseaskin.com and they have reasonable international shipping too. Next time I am asking for samples!! |

Tiger Tim!
Do you agree that white algae mask is as good a revitalising treatment as valmont renewing pack?
I'm obsessed! Which, contradictorily, makes me force myself to let both of them sit on my shelves, unused, for months at a time. New Year's Eve = white algae mask!
And, how's the ocean lotion going on your wintry soles? I am without it at the moment, but when my next installment of grant money comes through, I will stock up again...

p.s. who is tiger tim's shadow? |

Hi Avalange,
I dont have the white algae mask yet.. as soon as I have some $$ I am gonna get it though! My total lemming at the moment.
I actually dont use ocean lotion on my feet (I have a stack of feet products ) I love it for a non-greasy, fast aborbing and unscented lotion for my arms etc and seeing that it is a bit expensive I am not given to slathering it willy nilly all over the place.
Oh and my "shadow" was an ID I had to create once when I got locked out of EDS and I either had to face a weekend without posting till they could fix it or resort to creating a shadow of my former self. |

i'm curious about what the eyes and lips does for lips. can you use it directly on your lips (rather than around) to help with dry lips?
avalange - is it ok if i use your name with osea to ask for samples, b/c that would be great (just in case i'm sensitive to any of the ingredients) |

I just emailed them asking for product recommendations since the questionnaire link didn't work. I described my skin type and sensitivites. I asked if they provide samples since I have reactive skin. Next thing you know I got the email back with product recs and request for my mailing addy so he can send me samples. |
