| ive read many times that vaseline makes a good eye cream..does anyone know if its true? it would be great if it was cuz its really cheap and lasts a longgg time |

| Hi! I have used vaseline as an eye cream, and it does moisturize very well. It is also very non-irritating. My under eye area was smooth and plumped up in the morning. Doesn't hurt to give it a try, it's so cheap! |

Hi cbeb.............well ive used so many different eye creams and to be honest i found vaseline was grrrrreat!!!! especially if u....like me......wear eye make up!!! sometimes when i come home very late i wash or cleanse my face very quickly and dont remove my eye makeup as well as i should  i put lashings of vaseline on and in the morning....a) my eyes dont look like theyve been through what they di the night b4 b)any eye make up that was left comes off oohh sooo easy!!! lol |

| I had Blepharitis about 4 years ago (inflamation of the upper and lower eyelids), The doctor gave me antibiotic drops to put in the eye, but I reacted to this and all the skin round my eyes went kind of burned and very red....the doctor told me to cover my eyes in vaseline morning and night. It cooled them down, stopped them itching and the puffiness and left my skin so soft... |

| Vaseline is a very good product. I used it when I was 10. I put too much makeup which dried my skin. I put on vaseline and the next morning, it was so smooth. |

Vaseline is good moisturiser but may cause whitehead on oily skin including eye area.
But good for body. |

| I use it as a night cream after my microderms...I put it all over....lips/eyes/neck...I wake up to smooth skin. I have done lots of reading on the pros and cons and they seem to cancel eachother out...the fact still remains...it does awesome things for my skin...period. |

| I used to do that, but a facial specialist said that vaseline esp. petroleum usage is too strong for skin in long term... |

| I wouldn't use that as eye cream - it will take a long time to get rid of milla once it forms and heavy rich cream will likely be the cause. Plus there are so many wonderful options out there why risk this? |

You were wearing when you were 10? I wasn't allowed to til 14! 
I use vaseline as the final step in my nighttime skin products, just around my eyes. I like to think it seals in moisture and keeps the products from rubbing off.
If I use it anywhere else it makes me break out  |

i agree that the milla is like a death sentence, virtually impossible to get rid of without a sharp instrument...
the undereye area is really delicate so a basic moisturiser should do the trick. |

i never know that vaseline can be apply as eye cream. because it always give me a very sticky creamy impression.
does it really help? lighten the dark-circle or fine lines? |

I would avoid eye area with Vaseline, I get millia(small white head which are hard to get out) so easy with regular eye products.
Vaseline has bigger molecules, may be hard for the skin around eye are to absorb and can clog pores. |

I've been using vaseline for a long time but only applying on hands and feet before going to bed. I don't feel comfortable to use as eye cream for it is too sticky and I don't think it will help to erase fine lines or dark circles. |

Of course I'm older, but I don't think I'd care to use something so heavy on the delicate skin of my eyelids and under-eye area for the long term.
