Ok...the most important make up tool I owned for 10 or more years, was my eyelash curler. Then, as my lashes began to thin (and break?) I decided I would have to stop using it...so I began using a lash primer, then my finger to curl my lashes, holding it against them pushing them into a curl. They would dry curled up, and then I would apply my mascara, using my finger again to reinforce the curl. (On rare occasions I used this method and let my blow dryer help set it with heat.) But in the last 6 months I've decided my lashes may be suffering from using the lash primer, so I stopped. Now I'm down to cheap mascara and my finger, and wow, my lashes curl so beautifully, as good or better than using the eyelash curler. Maybe I've trained them! I'm curious, does anyone else do this? |

I do try to push them up with my fingers after I wash my hands. Some do curl up but not all. The longer ones seem to want to curl more than the shorter ones. Also if I put lash conditioner on, it seems to help soften them and they curl more, too. With RL, several of my lashes curl on their own but some curl sideways. Really strange! Most are not pointing straight down. They are pointing up, but not all the way curly. Not sure if you know what I mean. |

Sounds interesting but I'm not sure it would work on my Asian lashes. They have absolutely no natural curl of their own, sad. |

I often do this when I've forgotten to curl my lashes before applying mascara or when I'm away and have forgotten to pack my eyelash curlers. After I've applied my mascara and it's dried it's realy easy to curl your lashes using some pressure from your fingers. It gives a surprisingly good result and seems to hold really well. |

I do this in the morning if I'm running late but also during the day if my eyelashes uncurl. It works quite well because of the body heat and you can hold them in place for longer not worrying that you will crimp them. |
