above my upper lip (mustache area), it is quite darkened. it is partially due to facial hair, but after i shave, it is still quite dark and uneven. are there any products to help correct this. i'm not sure if skin whitening products that i've been reading about are the right choice, but i don't see any other alternative. any suggestions on which products to use. |

Lightening products would be a great place to start. One good one to try would be Skinceuticals Phyto+. Also, be sure that you are using sunscreen daily so as not to further increase the pigmentation.

I would say give Phyto+ a go as well. Have you always had this darkened area or is this something fairly new? |

Well, it probably wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doc next time you're in. But it sounds like a patch of hyperpigmentation (though I'm not a doctor ). |
