Until I can get Carekate's Lush Lips balm, I went searching for something else and found a really good lip balm on Ebay. I just got it yesterday, but I love the feel and the hint of color. Even if it doesn't plump much, I would use it. It is very silky, kind of in between a gloss and a balm and is in a tube, which I prefer to a pot. She has all the ingredients listed on the website. SPF of 10-15. No mineral oil or petroleum. The best part, it's only $4. I love the Vanilla (berry shimmer) and the Cafe Latte (sheer red brown).
The name of it is "Pleasantly Plump Lip Plumper" by ModelSupplies. |

I been using the "Vanilla" and "Cafe Latte" for 3 straight days and I LOVE them. They are the perfect color, not too bright, very natural. They remind me of Burts Bees shimmer, but they have the HA and DMAE in them for plumping. They are really moisturizing and a good alternative to my LipFusion for those days I don't want alot of gloss or stickiness. I picked up 3 more yesterday . There is an auction for some at buy now price of $2.99 (68 left). So if you buy, do that auction. There are other auctions at $3.99. You guys will love the "Vanilla". Its so pretty and dark enough to wear by itself. The ingredients are listed in this link. I know the Ebay listing looks all over the place and confusing, but the Anita is really responsive and helpful. She ships fast and sends extras.

I got an email from Anita concerning the "Vanilla". The color of the Vanilla I got was a happy "accident" and she is trying to replicate it for another new color and flavor she is planning to call "Black Cherry". The original Vanilla is a sheer blue-purple, which I have not seen or used. So when specifying the color, ask for the new "Black Cherry". I hope I'm not confusing y'all.
She says her formulation contains multiple plumping agents. Here is an excerpt about 4 ways of plumping from her email to me. I cannot attest to any major plumping yet, as it's only been 3 days. But it's supposed to be a long lasting plump as opposed to a temporary one.

Lip Plumper
Confused about which lip plumpers are the best lip plumpers available? Here is a lip plumper comparison outline that can help you find the best one for you!
Size flatters - at least according to women who crave fuller lips. But with so many lip plumpers on the market, how do you tell the ones that juice lips to the ones that are junk?
There are many lip plumpers reviews but it all comes down to the ingredients and technology behind the product. There are four different kinds of lip
plumpers:
1. Lip-smacking lip plumpers with stimulants - Mildy irritating substances including cinnamon, ginger, or menthol. These "dilate blood vessels, which stimulates swelling of the lips for a few hours at most," says Jeanette Graf, a dermatologist in Great Neck, NY. While the tingling is addictive, these do almost nothing to help lips plump.
2. Collagen Formula Lip Plumpers: such products boast that they "contain collagen ingredients" or will "help to stimulate" collagen. They have discovered a tiny peptide, a tiny protein molecule, "that is small enough to penetrate the skin and sort of trick it into thinking that collagen is being broken down," says Linda K. Franks, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at NYU School fo Medicine. In theory, this triggers the production of more collagen, which then makes lips plump. The best lip plumper available, Lip Fusion uses this breakthrough collagen science to impart shiny, super-charged lips. Click to view Lip Fusion. Those who tested Lip Fusion said it "numb our lips, and also appeared to inflate them."
3. Antioxidant Infusers: Antioxidants, such as vitamin C and E or alpha lipoic acid. "At best, antioxidants might aid in lip plumping by elminating dryness," Graf Says. "But unless they're paired with other ingredients, they won't do much to plump lips."
4. Reddeners & Smoothers: Retinol, "which increases elasticity and thickens skin in the long term," Graf says, and/or vasodilators such as niacin, "which dilates blood vessels for short-term plumping" can make lips look rosier. ____________________
We employ all 4 of these~! If you look at the label, you will see! The label may even be missing something, as we stay up to the moment! I am truly looking for a one-step solution. The next step is to get the color to last longer, but it MUST be moist and truly, I LIKE to apply our lip plumping balms |

Interesting product, Boski.
Very confusing page by the seller, though!
Will you report back when you've been using this a bit longer, to tell us if it does actually deliver plumping?
I'd love to hear how it goes.
thanks for the heads up. |

What colors are you getting? It will be nice to trade notes. I think this is a new product for her and it's selling very well. Anita said she was ramping up production of her lip balms this weekend and having a hard time keeping up with orders (she works another full-time job). Just hope she doesn't raise the price. |

I still love them. I haven't used my old HG Lipfusion since I got them. I wouldn't say I have incredible Angela Jolie results, but they look as plump as when I was using Lipfusion. What I love best is the moisturizing. |

Well, I bought two of them, and the seller sent me five!
very generous!!
I like them a lot. They are very soft - no dragging of the lips to apply - and very moisturising.
The colours are very subtle and natural looking.
As for plumping, I cant tell, as I'm using other things for that job.
I'm glad to have them! (I put an order into carekate quite a while ago and havent heard anything at all, so I'm glad I ordered these. )They arrived very quickly and the seller was super friendly and nice. |

Hi Catski!
Just got back from Spring Break...I ordered 3 and she sent me 5 too. This was my second order from Anita. I have at least one everywhere... in my purse, in my bathroom, office, nightstand, etc. I love the way they feel on my lips, so silky and not waxy at all. I haven't felt the need to use another plumper and my lips look nice and full in pictures that I've seen from my vacation. I wear them over my lipstick when I want more intense color.
Glad you like them too! |
