I used Cerave's Hydrating cleanser for the first time this week.
This cleanser is reputed to be gentle, nourishing, but also effective. Yet, it slightly irritated my face. I was surprised.
Did this happen to anyone here, or I am just different?
And why do you suppose that it happened in the first place?
Lastly, did your face really feel clean after using this cleanser? And was it effective in terms of removing makeup? |

This cleanser will sometimes sting my skin crazy. I don't understand why but it seems when my skin is already irritated is when it irritates the most. |

I have sensitive, rosacea skin and I find this cleanser to be very gentle and soothing. It also does a good job of removing my makeup (which is very light) and making my face feel very clean. It's not my staple cleanser, but it is one that I have and use in my rotation, mostly in the winter. But skin's so fickle, just because it works for me doesn't mean beans for you. |

What about your eye area? Did it irritate that area? |

No, it doesn't bother my eye area at all. But I don't really have to rub that area either because I always use a sensitive baby wipe to take off eye makeup (I don't wear a lot) before I wash my face. |
