Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on products for really soft, smooth body skin.
I already use those nylon scrubby gloves, and have tried DDF body lotion, which I really like, but wonder if there is better stuff out there. Was wondering about trying 50% glycolic from ebay for rough skin on my butt
Any ideas much appreciated!
Thanks |

Body brushes are great as well as the mitts and use a body scrub with the mitts. I find that moisturising and does not have to be an expensive cream but you have to use it everyday and dry brush every night |

Paula's Choice 10% AHA Skin Revealing Body lotion is my favorite, keeps feet smooth too! |

I highly recommend buying a natural bristle body brush. Body brushing has done some remarkable things for my skin. Besides exfoliating it stimulates circulation and detoxifies. Do a google search on body brushing and you will find a wealth of information. |

Yup, I'm already a dedicated body brusher!
I'd really like some advice on how to get rid of the dry skin on my butt/bottom. It's at the bottom of the buttocks, kind of chicken-skin type (don't laugh).
It's been there for so long, and also i've improved the rest of my skin with taking good oils internally, this last bit won't budge.
Heavy creams will temporary improve the feel, but the rough skin is still there after washing.
Maybe a cheap, high strength acid peel? |

Have you ever tried a salt or sugar scrub? You know, a really nice, grainy one?
My favorite is Philsophy hot salt scrub. Yes, I use it on my butt, too! |

For smoothness, Dermalogica's Ultimate Buffing Cloth is unbeatable, in my opinion. I have elbows as soft as baby skin now. It's economical too as you don't have to keep buying scrubs. |

I thinks salt/sugar scrubs are great for this, as are AHA/BHA acids, but you know what really did it for me with my KP rough skin? Clindamycin lotion. Don't know why, as it's usually for acne, but an old derm prescribed this for me for my KP-related acne and it really helped. Trouble is, it also made me have weird allergic reactions sometimes, so I quit using it, but I just might get more someday to kick KP's butt. Good luck! |

I use body brushes and once a week I apply 10% lactic acid over my body after body brushing. I leave it on for 40 odd mins then shower it off and gently rub my skin with a microdermabrasion cloth. Top off with emu and wallow in the glow of super smooth skin!
I also find that regular circular brushing on my arse got rid of the really dry flakey skin that inexplicably builds up there. |

Hi Guapagirl,
I might try that routine!
Where do you get your 10% lactic acid from? I'd like to find a cheap source..
Is your Emu from Skin Biology? Again, if there's a cheap source would be great, as putting on the whole body uses it up so quickly
thanks! |

-before shower: dry brush
-during shower: Trader Joe's sugar scrub (a few times a week)
-after shower: Trader Joes's jojoba oil followed by a thin layer of Vanicream
-at night(when I remember): amlactin lactic acid lotion
lol probably sounds like over kill but my skin is the softest it has been in a long time! |

Tea tree scrub with apricot. It really cleanses the skin while leaving it feeling smooth & soft. |
