Omigod yes .. a compliant workforce, a merciless army, no more Falungong.... I can certainly see where they are going. It's no longer in the realm of science fiction. |

Oh, that's terrible! I'd like to think that this research would not get past ethical clearance in Australia but to be honest I'm not too sure... Medicine (and cosmetics) testing on animals is very gruesome and cruel as well. |

That's barbaric! But isn't it equally barbaric to use skin care products tested on animals? |

"The report did not specify what practical uses the scientists saw for the remote-controlled pigeons."
This is what I don't get????
Maybe could understand if there was a reason..... |

That's a thought. You can bet that something like the glaucoma medication currently used by Jan Marini etc. was dripped into the eyeballs of live rabbits, dogs, cats, etc. for months or years until they were convinced it was safe enough to "grow human eyelashes"! |

My newspaper reported it simply as a scientific advance, but my reaction was very similar to that of nyonyakay. Appalling. |

They just wanted to see if thwey could do it. See my above statement. They'll probably work their way up to bigger animals, and eventually try it on humans. I'm telling you. No one needs a remote controlled pigeon, but a remote controlled pet? Are you kidding me?!?!
But, yeah, it's evil anyway you cut it. |

. I just read about the rabbits being used in Rosemary Gladstar's Herbs for Natural Beauty. From now on I am looking for the emblem with the rabbit that signifies no animal testing.

Ok, now I'm going to fly over to China with a hatchet in hand, and shove my remote car starter in those scientists head, and make them run into traffic...... Anyone care to join me? |

It is so nice to know that I'm a part of a forum of smart, cool, caring people who hate animal exploitation, cruelty, experimentation and just plain stupidity as much as I do.
Thank you! |
