Had some gorgeous green tea dessert stuff recently and wondered if anyone had good recipes for making my own.
I'm particularly interested in recipes for green tea ice cream and green tea chiffon cake (possibly with the addition of white chocolate). Can anyone help? Or does anyone have any other fantastic green tea recipes they'd share? |

I LOVE green tea ice cream, and I don't even normally like ice cream much. I think it's the only reason I go to Japanese restaurants
Haagen Daz makes a green tea flavour, but I guess that's not really a recipe |

OOOOOh, I didn't know there were any commercially made ones. Wouldn't mind trying those, but nowt beats the taste of homemade icecream. |

Haagen Daaz green tea ice cream is indeed quite nice, but I prefer those ones I get from Japanese restaurants. There are many green tea recipes on a Thai cooking forum, but obviously, they're all in Thai. I'm going away for a week, but can translate some for you when I'm back and have more time. |

This is one of the rare recipes I've tried from about.com - amazingly it does work haha. Hope you'll like the tea cakes! |

OH!!Green tea ice cream is my favourite ice gream indeed. And...and let me think for a moment...green tea cake of course, then green tea rice cake which is very delicous I can eat a ton of it.
And when in China, Mr Ichido'S "green tea bean curd", which actually made from cream, is a must to taste~!
But recipes...maybe should go and check some Chinese/Japanese websides |

samantha - Thank you so much! Sounds jolly good to me.
andaman_gypsy and Ke Jiang - If you do get the time, it'd be really sweet of you to translate any recipes you think sound good, please.
If I find any good recipes myself, I'll also post them here. I've already found a UK supplier for cooking maccha, plum wine and sweetened adzuki beans. |
