I have only tried a couple of their products. I've tried the Age Fitness eye cream and also the Age Fitness serum. I liked both of them. I can't tell you if they had any effect but I thought that the serum was soothing. I never bought the full size though (can't quite remember why). The products I tried were 5mL miniatures that I got in one of those "refresher" packs that they hand out on long international flights. |

Hi, Becz21:
I've been using quite a few of Biotherm products, some work, some dont!
Products I have used include the cleanser, toner, sunscreen, sunblock, purifying mask, body lotion, body scrub, and lip treatment.
The cleanser and toner are not for me (I used the green aquasource line which is for combo skin), they didnt do the work at all, plus they broke me out, they left me a greasy film that I didnt like, I also didnt like the fact it had a fairly strong scent with it, I doubt if the fragrance casued the breakouts, anyway, I couldnt finish my tube, I keep using them on and off, just b/c I dont want to waste them.
The sunscreen is perfect, I dont remember the exact name, but it's from the aquasource line, so, it's with moisturizer in it, I like the texture and the consistency of it, it has a low SFP however, I wish it had a higher SPF, but it could be greasy if so It's come to my third bottle, and I still find it nice , the texture is very very light, it feels like "aqua", but it may be too light for dry skin.
The sunblock is what I tried after the suncreen that I mentioned above, like I mentioned, I came to this b/c I was looking for sth that has a higher SPF, this comes with SPF 25, the SA told me that the difference is that it has no moisturizer in it though it is still from the aquasource line... it is oil free, but it is still too heavy for me in the summer, for I am living in a humid area.
The aquasource ultra moisturizing thermal gel? sth like that, it has a light texture, when you put it on, it gives a bit of heat, maybe this is why it is named as "thermal".. a nice gel for oily/combo skin.
The purifying mask is a clay type mask, it mainly helps with oily T-zone, if you have dry skin, this is definitely not for you, it would be way too drying and give an uncomfortable feeling. In tems of the effect of this mask, I didnt see a lot difference, right after using it, you will see your skin a bit whiter and smooth, and for a few days follow, oily T-zone will be better controlled, but I wouldnt say that it's a skin purification, even for my combo skin, I cannot use it in winter, I need lots of moisturizer if I use it in winter.
The body lotion is nice, though it's nothing too spectacular, I just like the smell of it, again, it's nothing special, but the scent is clean.
The body scrub is also nice, the beads are tiny enough to give a gentle scrub, it provides massaging effects, smell like the body lotion too
Lip treatment comes with SPF, best to use in winter coz it's rich and creamy. I like to use it as a treatment, I like to put it on before bed and leave it on for the whole night. My lips feel soft the next morning.
Biotherm has a lot of branched lines for different types of skin, I am using most of the aquasauce line only, I cannot therefore comment on other products, from my own experience, Biotherm produce average products, I believe they have some better quailty products that I havent tried, I am tempted to try the detox line .. the descriptions are attractive, it would be great if they really do the job to detox my skin .. anyone tried that yet love to hear from you. |

um..last time i went hk..i went to buy soem biotherm products...cheaper in hk than here in sydney due to the increase in value of aussie $
and this is what i brought :
(1) 2 eye creams- one i use for night (D-Stress Yeux ) and one for morning (hydra-detox yeux )
(2) this hydra-detox masque (this blue gel that you leave on for 10 minutes and its suppose to be as effective on skins urface micro-circulation as 1 1/2 hours of draining massage)
(3) this source therapie- spa concentrate tissue mask.
well...
(1) i dun think the eye creams are doing waht they're suppose to do... maybe i'm just not applying it rite or maybe just lack of sleep? but i do use it night & day...and have seen minimal improvements in reducing puffiness/dark circles as it claims.
(2) the hydra-detox masque was ok~ the skin felt good... but maybe coz of my skin type (dry/ quite sensitve) or maybe i'm not using it properly? my skin was quite blotchy afterwards... although i did tell the sales lady if she coudl recommend me products for my skin type~
(3) the mask was nice but- again, maybe its my skin but the day after i tried the mask... my face flared up and was red/itchy and bit inflammed...maybe i'm allergic to the products?...
i am quite dissapointed with the results using these products
maybe the other products in their line are better? but personally, i think they're just more a brand name than being an effective skincare line. |

I tired only one product which is the hydra detox. I think it doesn't work because I used it for one month and there are no results and gives me more milia. I don't like this product, but I haven't tried the other ones out there. |

I'm using the Illuminating essence (i believe the very same product is under both the whitening line in Asia and the 'brightening' line in other countries where it is prohibited to name any cosmetic products as having 'whitening' properties)
It's supposed to have kojic acid and all these goodies inside, however, after using almost the whole bottle, i've seen zero effect. I think the concentration is way too low to do any benefits.
Also have the lip gloss-balm, it's not the spf15 one in the blue and white tube, but it's the one in the pink tube, in peach flavour. The finish is nice, moisturising and subtly glossy, unfortunately the scent is too artificial. |

I watched the advertisements of the cosmetics. The cosmetics have vitamin E. there are other plants like Aloe. I think it's really good, but I know where to buy it. |

I've used most of their skin care lines and some body care lines before.
My personal favourite is the De-stress line, love the night lotion, eye cream and the mask.
There are a lot rave on the hydra-detox range, personally I found it's doing alright but nothing special.
The aquathermal line is ok, I have combo-oily skin so i mainly use the green one. However I found that during summer, around lunch time my T-zone will become very shiny after using the gel moisturiser.
The blue line which is the one for oily skin - stay away from it, it does absolutely nothing and is a complete waste of money!
Some of their body products is nice, such as the aquathermal body mist, however because it's a mist, a bottle doesn't last that long.
Personally I found Biotherm products is more suitable for people with skin age between 18-24, I think once you start to hit 25, you probably need something 'stronger' to target the specific problems that you skin may exposed to.

I like quite a few Biotherm products, but not the facial products, which dried out my skin and made me break out (exception: the OLD Biosensitive moisturizer, which was discontinued. I am still mourning that one ).
I like:
*Deo Pure---the only deodorant I can use (although it stains clothing). Nice, clean, light scent.
*Anti-drying bodymilk (light, yet moisturizing. Smells great of citrus, and absorbs easily).
*Bodymilk with apricot for dry skin (for winter)
*Lipgloss
*Mascara--the Open Eyes is perfect, but stay away from the Look Intense Volume Mascara! |
