Happy St. Paddy's Day!!
May the roof above us ne'er fall in.
And may the friends gathered below it ne'er fall out.

Is everyone wearing something green today?
I've got my metallic green eyeliner on! Don't want to get pinched! |

I'm about 90% Irish with the other 10% being Welsh, which is like an Irish cousin.
I worked and went directly home yesterday (with a short stop at the library) and will today...no green on me.
BTW, Lola, I live in the middle of the US which is very non-Irish. We have a parade, which I've never watched, it seems to be filled with non-Irish. The parade ends at the pub too and I kinda think that's the main attraction. |

The Chicago River turned green yesterday. It looked like Ecto Cooler Hi-C!

I lived in Chicago in the late '60's and they turned the river green then too. At that time, they said it did not hurt the river/plants/fish etc. |

I think the fish and plants are so radioactive from the industrial pollution that a little dye won't do much. Just kidding...but I looked it up and the amount of Fluorescein they use isn't enough and doesn't last long enough to hurt anything in such a large body of water. |
