I started reading about various microdermabrasion cloths and chanced upon a seller called Thank You Stan on Ebay who claims to be the original inventor of the cloths. All his listings are those annoyingly long pages with thousands of testimonials and claims of authenticity.

He has a larger variety of cloths than most sellers, with body cloths, daily and weekly cloths, microderm sponges... and a host of miracle skincare products like mimosa balm/soap etc.

Has anyone bought from this guy, and do his cloths perform as well as a microderm scrub product like EpidermxII?

Bump!

I'd love to find out, too, Miranets! I've seen his auctions on eBay and agree with you about the annoyingly long listings. I'm also wondering if all of his different products are really different - meaning texture variations of the microfiber. I'm thinking the cloths are just different sizes and colors, same texture?

This man is really close to where I live - he's in West Hollywood and I'm in West LA. If I purchased from him, I wonder if he'd let me drive over and pick up the product vs. having him mail it to me? I'm not going to worry about that until AFTER we hear from others about his products though.

They're okay. I highly doubt that he invented them. They do abrade well, and you have to be careful to not rub too hard, or you end up with injured skin! I actually ended up liking a locally purchased dermabrasion cloth instead of his, but his do work too. IMO, all of the microdermabrasion cloths work in the same way and I don't think there's a huge difference between them as long as they're marketed for facial use.

I have ordered from him a few times. Last time i ordered he sent the wrong color cloth, when I emailed him, he said he'd send the right color for free. The cloths are good, I can't really feel a difference btwn them in terms of exfoliation. I have the blue, orange and pink.

Amylola, do you mean you can't feel the difference between the weekly/daily cloths?

There is another girl who also sells these same microderm cloths and SHE claims to be the original inventor "the asian girl in Stan's photos".... when I see things like this I find it all too dubious.

But for the price, they are reasonable, and I wonder if they are finer than the Dermalogica Microdermabrasion cloth?? Can anyone do a comparison?

Unfortunately, I can't. I bought it at a local Japanese store, and even if I could have read the box, I haven't kept the packaging. Sorry. Sad

I just really can't tell between them if one is exfoliating more than the other. I have washed them all a bunch of times, maybe that is why? When i first got them I noticed a difference when I used the supposedly daily one, I liked that one the best, but I can't remember which color that was!!! sorry!! It has been a while.
They are all good though IMO.
