First an article in the new issue of Allure, now, new ads on makemeheal.com
I am beginning to look at a new assumption (purely my opinion based on personal research).
The suggestion to give up water based Vitamin C serums entirely (unless you like to make your own and are assured of activity, and going for oil based Vitamin C serums, rolled in with a short needled roller.
Advantages: elimination of oxidation and penetration concerns.
Disadvantages: not as much clinical evidence, but some is available.
