For those of you who live in the lower mainland of BC, or elsewhere in Canada, I'm sure you're familiar with the Manjit Panghali murder which happen in October.
If you haven't heard: her husband and his brother were charged with her murder yesterday. This was after months of the public speculation, that the two men knew more than they were letting on. Innocent until proven guilty, but I sincerely hope that there will be justice for that beautiful woman!
My heart aches for her little girl, family, and friends. How could anyone commit such a horrific crime. Hard to watch the footage on her site.

Do you mean to tell me that this young, pregnant woman was murdered and incinerated by her husband and brother-in-law, and yet the parents of the accused have joint custody of her surviving child??? I realize that in the eyes of the law the grandparents may be innocent, but they reared two [suspected] murderers for heaven's sake!!! Without knowing more, I feel THAT ALONE makes them unfit to have anything to do with their granddaughter. I see no justice -- in the moral sense of the term -- in this situation. |

There is no excuse for this murder. As long as people dehumanize each other because of culture, religion, race, gender, murder will continue. Personally I don't want to hear the excuses for killing that normally will come out during a trial. I want the focus to remain on the victim, not how hard done by the accused are. |

I have to agree with m.april here, there is no justice here.

This murder was absolutely disgusting, and I don't think that the accuseds' parents should have any rights to the grand daughter.
I hope the husband and his brother rott slowly and painfully. |
