HATE IT!
Not talking
It left my lashes stiff & clumping. As with the Cover Girl Lash Exact Volume version, there is a design flaw in the packaging. The "O" ring doesn't remove enough of the product. Therefore, the tapered end of the brush has FAR too much mascara on it. GRR!

Don't bother wasting your money on this new one from Rimmel. Their Extra Super Lash is much better.

Thanks for the warning, Caspers Mum. I will stay away from Rimmel's mascara. I almost bought one at CVS the other day. Thank god I didn't.

I bought the volume flash 2 days ago and I threw it out after using it once. Total waste!

Is this the same as Rimmel's Eye Magnifier??? Because I bought some and like it! No clumping issues for me. The dispenser looks just like the one in the link CaspersMum provided except for the name. In fact, I was impressed that there isn't excess product on the wand! Strange. Maybe the product available in the States is different???

Likely the same product, but different name(s) for the different markets.

The excess occurs at the tapered end of the brush. This happened with Cover Girl Volume Exact too. They need to use tighter "o"-rings, to remove more product from the bristles.

Besides, both products made my lashes too stiff.

Hi CaspersMum - You seem to know a lot about makeup and have tried a wide range of products. What's your favorite mascara (at any price)?

I've used several Lancome formulae but they're generally too goopy and flake off after a while. I'm not picky about whether a mascara's lengthening or thickening -- either's okay with me. But I'm not fond of waterproof ones, except for times when I wear mascara on my lower lashes.

I love Eye Magnifier, I have tried a lot of mascaras and I keep coming back to this one. Walgreens has BOGO on Rimmel this week, so I am getting more. You do have to clean the brushes on these every few days though I think for best performance.

I think the two mascaras are the same thing, just slightly different name. The packaging and the brush look exactly alike according to the London website.

I love Rimmel mascaras, but I heard that the brush on this one is scratchy, and since I'm not Little Miss Graceful I'm avoiding it.

I agree with Caspers Mum--hated it. Stiff, clumpy and unnatural looking.

Update: I e-mailed Coty, Canada (distributor for Rimmel in CND), and also spoke with Marc from Coty.

Not only did he appreciate my feedback, but sent me three tubes of my favorite mascara: Rimmel Extra Super Lash!

Thanks, Casper's Mum. So I will have to try the Extra Super Lash! I heard Rimmel mascara was good, but didn't know which one, so I almost just bought any Rimmel mascara that I saw on sale at a drugstore, but thought better of it and held off. So from now on, I know what to look for!

I guess I am the odd gal out...I love this stuff!!! I use this, and their lycra mascara as well. I have to say I have very long and well curled lashes, so maybe that is why I get a good result from it. A few sweeps and off I go Cool

I totally agree with Casper's Mum about Rimmel's Magnifier mascara. Also, all the Rimmel mascaras tend to make my lashes dry, stiff, and brittle. I really liked Rimmel's Vinyl Lash mascara till I saw what it was doing to the condition of my lashes over time.

On the other hand, I LOVE Rimmel's Vinyl Jelly lip pencils--they are a cross between a pencil and a lipstick, are long-lasting, and do not transfer easily.

I'm the odd gal out too...I like the Rimmel Magif'eyes Mascara. My lashes are really long and defined when I use this one. I didn't like the Rimmel's Super Lash or Volume Flash.
