or better yet which ones do you love the effects of on them? I would love to give mine a lip plumper but he is not into it. He used chapstick but after learning from Kandis (Lips2Kiss) about how it dries and shrinks the lip tissue I hate to see him use it all the time. They have thicker, coarser and often oilier skin but most of them are not willing to do a complicated routine. I can get mine to wash and tone, put eye stuff on and do a clay or aspirin mask or Lactic acid peel if I do it, so it ends up not being as often as he needs. He will not wear sun screen every day. Anyone have some success stories and products he or you love on him? |

My husband won't use anything but dial soap on his face . I can get him to wear sunscreen because he works on the flight line and burns in minutes because he is so pale. He even reapplies it throughout the day (SPF 50) and will still sometimes come home burned. Poor guy.
My brother uses the Anthony Logistics line and seems to like it. He has oily/acne prone skin and it seems to suit him fine. |

My bf likes Khiels's papaya scrub, blue astringent and their shave cream (but I forgot the name of it.)

My bf uses nothing even not a cleanser, but his skin looks better than me. So unfair! |

Thanks for feedback so far. Mine really just has some large pore issues on his nose but they are STUBBORN. He is 50 and as you age the skin gets coarser too. |

OK, for cleansing, my DH loves Santa Maria Novella Olive Oil Soap. He also like A'kin cleansnig gel.
For shaving: Decleor scrub cleanser (pre-shave), Jason's shave oil (pre-shave), Weleda Shaving Cream, Decleor Aromessence shave oil (after shaving), Decleor Mens or Art of Shaving after-balm.
Spritzing: Shu Uemura Depsea Water (rosemary)
For moisturizing: Jurlique Day Face Care Cream (summer: naturderm chrysalyx)
Eyes: well, he is lazy, so that is why I buy face creams (above) that also can be used around the eyes.
In DH case, if he likes the texture and smell, and if it is not too complicated to use
Exfoliating before shaving or sometimes in a daily face wash is all I can get him to use on that front (though considering getting him on a microfiber cloth now he has soap to use)
Mask? nope, no way.. unless I do it for him.. or unless we go to the spa. He is happy to be massaged and masked away - so long as he does not have to do any work.
For those shocked at how well he is trained, trust me, the boy was all soap and water when we met. First, I simply put a simple cleansing gel (choosing a scent he would like) in the shower - and he used it. Then when he complained about dry skin, I bought Aesop mandarin cream (he liked the texture and loved the citrus smell)... and once he found his skin was not dry any more he was very willing to continue. Same with shaving. He ALWAYS had terrible shaving burn.. then I got him onto an AHA cleanser pre-shave that you left on the face under the shavng cream.. bought some Decleor shave products and just the fact that shaving became simple and no longer painful meant he quickly adapted to the routine. |

My hubby doesn't have to love anything, as long as he does not dislike anything that I pass onto him. I kept buying new products before I can finish the old ones, so usually he has to help me finish those half full jars. Fortunately he has pretty thick skin and seem to agree with most of the products. |

sounds like yours is dryer skin? That would make it easier to get him to moisturize. I have been told that even oiler skinned men should moisturize but he hates it. I can understand why, he really does not need it but perhaps his larger pores are because the surface if dry. It certainly does not look it. He does not like the feeling of that extra layer on his skin, which is why sunscreen every day is not something he does. He will do it if out at the beach but not a regular work day or even weekend out doing errands. Maybe if he ever has a skin cancer scare when he gets older he will change his evil ways but I have given up on that one. |

My exbf like Biotherm Homme...maybe because of TakeshiKaneshivo. And I know some of my friends use Nature Bisse and like 50% peeling. |

Haha my ex was into Biotherm too! In fact he actually asked me to help him get the biotherm lightening serum for his acne scars once Then he kinda fainted at the price of it :P Actually I think most men don't like using facial stuff as they think it's girly But actually most do care for their skin? I find that a neutral (read: not girly haha) skincare range for men is the tea-tree range from Bodyshop. Most of my ex-es and my girls bf's are ok with that range or the Biotherm Homme really |

There are really many men/boys using Biotherm Homme. I had asked some of them, most because of TakeshiKaneshivo .
And some of my girl friends would throw what they find not helpfull or what they don't like to their bfs.
But there are really some one who cares very much on their skin, even more than many women does. For example, the famous NiuEr in TanWan and NiKe GG in China. |

My husband doesn't use anything! The only time he puts on sunscreen is if we are outside hiking or something.
Le sigh. And yes, of course is skin is much better than mine. No blemishes, not oily, nothing.
GRRRR. |

Well, once I got DH off the "Old Spice" :-& and Nivea Industrial Strength...it was a slippery slope! He likes Right Manly Things, I guess.
He has dry, dry, dry skin and now 100% pure squalane (biomarine) is seeming to help him.
Oh! and I got him to try Gucci pour homme instead of OS. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! SO much better!
He likes those Dove cleansing pads too. (too funny!)

emu oil or whatever moisturiser I use. When I used clinique dramatically different, it was 'that custardy stuff!'
He isn't one for skincare stuff at all thank god. I've just bought him some eau d'hermes because he liked the sound of it in the sunday times! Generally I prefer him to smell of him though |

ok how old are your guys here? Sounds like they are all still pretty young. Once they get over 50 many of them have skin that gets coarser and pores larger like ours too. Does anyone have one who does acid peels and stuff for texture? Or is that more of a woman thing? |

I did OCM on my SO once and he really liked it, but he would never do it himself. Of course he has great skin, never a blemish and the only "cleanser" he ever uses is peppermint castile soap! No suncreen, no moisturizer, nothing. He is as disturbed by how much money I spend on skincare products as I am by how much he spends on fishing gear. |

mines 47 and yes he has pores, but so does everyone! I don't actually care what his skin looks like as long as it is clean and healthy and he feels the same about mine. Luckily (for me not him) his eye sight is getting bad so I probably look about 21 when he doesn't wear his specks! |
