Has anyone tried Remergent Clarifying Concentrate and wouldn't mind posting a review? I have been eying this product for a while. I am hoping it will be the answer to my sunspots. The ingredient list sounds interesting. It only contains L-Ergothioneine and vitamin C. Is it a better product at brightening than Vit-C serums?
So many questions

Hi Wildcat. Yes, I'm using it & it has faded a freckle that's bothered me. I have some larger areas I'd like to address , but the dispenser has such small portions. I was using too much & went through my first tube way too fast. I'm definitely keeping it in my routine. Hope that helps! Coleen |

Hi c4ward,
Thanks for your reply. I am wondering if you use Vit-C serum in addition to the clarifying concentrate? And, do you think the clarifying concentrate is essential in addition to their DNA Repair (which claim to reverse sun-damage)?
Thanks,
Wild Cat |

Wild Cat, I used it for about 4 months and still keep a supply on hand but it did fade the marks I wanted to fade and they haven't come back so I stopped using it for the time being. I used it twice a day just on the marks and still have some left in the container but I have another container as a spare just in case. |

Thanks bushy,
I was hoping the DNA Repair could lighten spots I guess I will give the concentrate a try. I seem to remember that you use other C-serums?

Wild Cat, I don't use any C serums. It may have been the combination of Remergent products or Valmont L Elixir as I was using one or the other at the time I was using the Clarifying Concentrate. Unless I get another mark (god forbid!!) I won't know the answer. I have a few marks on other parts of the old body so I might do an experiment there with just the Clarifying Concentrate and see what happens. |

Thank you bushy, I really shouldn't be purchasing more skincare products. If the Clarifying Concentrate might work I will give it a try since nothing else worked. |

I've just finished my Clarifying Concentrate and have been using it alongside the DNA Repair. Previously I had been using a C Serum but stopped when I started using the Remergent because I hate layering too many products on my face, so I stopped using my C Serum for a few months.
I pesonally wouldn't compare the Clarifying Concentrate to a C Serum. The Clarifying Concentrate is supposed to spot treat areas of concern and doesn't seem to have any real brightening benefits, not when compared to a Vit C Serum anyhow.
I don't know if there are any added benefits in using the Clarifying Concentrate alongside the DNA Repair. I have seen a very slight improvement in my sunspots, but I have to stress that these are very slight improvements. That said I will definitely be repurchasing both the DNA and Clarifying again because my skin looks clearer and brighter overall, and they're both really easy products to wear, in that they don't seem to cause breakouts, they feel lovely on your skin and seem to absorb well. Though to me the Clarifying Concentrate smells like vinegar
I found that the products lasted for longer than I had expected, so I'm hoping with continued use I'll see some extra benefits |

Thanks Sel,
I do like how Remergent DNA Repair absorbs on my skin. The Clarifying concentrate will be my next purchase and I will hope for the best |

I am thinking, meant to start a new review with the referenced subject and found this thread during searching Remergent review.
I have finished my 3rd Clarifying Concentrate ("CC") and ordered the 4th last week. Per you guys' good reviews including bushy's advice, I have used this with other Remergent products with good but relatively slow results. My favorite Remergent are CC and DNA. CC did fade marks on my high cheekbones which is larger dark area. I use CC twice a day, i.e. in the morning and at night, only on the marks. This is the first one I put on my face after cleansing and gave 2-3 minutes before putting another products. After the first one, I started to see the dark area change to less darker (like leopard pattern.)
The thing is I also have some areas near my lips (corners of my lips). I liked to address this part too. I did the experiment there with the same routine but it didn’t work out well for now. Not sure but wondering if it is related to how long I have those marks. I.E. I remember I had the part on my cheekbones for 3-4 years, but marks on another part, I guess, much longer than 4 years. Anyway, I will definitely continue to keep it in my routine.
I have tried Vit C serum (super, ferulic, cellex, etc..)for those dark areas which didn’t work for me. At an initial stage of Vit C usage, I could see a temporary improvement. But it eventually made my facial skin over-sensitive, I should stop. |

I just finished my 1st tube of Clarifying Concentrate. I only used it once a day at night time and 1 tube is gone in a little more than a month. The recommended usage is twice a day then that would mean 2 tubes in a month
I use it along side DNA Repair and I haven't see any lightening from using the Clarifying Concentrate. I am a little bit disappointed I think maybe it takes more than 1 tube to see some result but I am not sure I can keep affording it |

One tube lasted me around 4 months. I only applied it directly to the spots. Are you applying it all over your face? |

No bushy,
I only use it on my spots and always only just one dosage. This is why I am so surprised that it was empty so soon... |

Jeannie - if you felt it was effective in fading but too acidic you could try Skinmedica's C serum. It's silicone based so PH neutral - a lot of sensitives seem happier with it and it's very effective. Depends whether you're sensitive oily or sensitive dry though - personally the silicones are a bit drying for my skin type. |

Is it only me who used up the whole tube in a little more than a month? Everyone else all get 3-4 months of usage twice a day??????? I m puzzled |

most eople find Remergent's "doses" to be too generous and use quite a bit less. not pushing down the whole way gives you a lot more doses. i'm sure they'd love everyone to use the full dosage, but it's really not necessary and you can make it stretch quite a bit longer if you're stingy. |

I agree that DNA Repair's metered dose is kind of generous so I always don't pump out the full dosage and the bottle is lasting months...
But with Clarifying Concentrate....one metered dose is so small already...barely cover my spots and I don't think its easy to purposely pump out less with CC's packaging....
Still puzzled whether I should purchase one more and see if it will eventually work... |
