A friend of mine was raving about this multi-vitamin that gave her so much energy, etc. etc. but I forgot to ask her what brand it was, we've since lost touch. So, what multi-vitamin do you like best? |

I love two kinds:
- Best Price: Nature Made brand since they always go on sale for buy one get one free...
- I read somewhere (can't remember!) that One A Day is the best among all brand of vitamine since it's the lowest lead properties. |

Juice Plus is a 20+ different vegetables and fruits put into caplets so you get all natural vitamins. No fillers etc. I will only take them now. They give me loads of energy. |

Seven Seas Multibionta , I heard a Doctor saying that he took these as they have a special coating which allows the probiotics to pass through the stomach without being destroyed by the stomach acids.
A bit worried by some of the news reports about vitamins being dangerous to our health though !!! . |

I love Nature's Way Alive w/o iron. I've been taking it for years and I can always tell when I don't take it. |

My problem is I get horrible stomach upset from every vitamin I've ever tried. I've taken it with food but still get aches. Does someone know of one for extra sensitive stomach? |

C4ward, you can dissolve the Nature's Way Alive in water and drink it. I don't think that would give you stomach problems. |

Thanks Salli. I'm going to try that. When you say dissolves in water, do I buy it in the pill form? Coleen |

Yes they come in pill form. It takes them about 30 minutes to dissolve in lukewarm water. I usually try to eat before I do this or take them - not alot - just so that you have something in your stomach. I will warn you, you pretty much have to slam em down. Not the tastiest thing I have ever put in my mouth. |

Yeah Maureen. I heard this while listening to the Today Show. People who take vitamins don't live as long as people who don't take them. Now I'm really confused. I know that I have more energy when I take my vitamins and I know it's the B Vitamins in them. B Vitamins give you energy but an overabundance makes you hungry. Double edged swordk, isn't it. And now we find out that while vitamins may make us feel better, they're shortening our lives. What's a body to do? |

I was a bit concerned when I first read this, but I did a bit of research myself and the study is pretty much a load of rubbish. They didn't even conduct the research themselves, they've analyzed a pool of different and varied studies, so there is no standardization of test subjects, etc. etc. Anybody that has studied science knows that bias is an easy trap to fall into, even those with the most honest intentions. One persons potato is another's patata; I'm sure someone who wanted to prove the efficacy of vitamin supplementation could analyze the SAME data and come up with a completely different conclusion. It is really annoying how they've now just paranoid millions of people who do not have the scientific background to make their own critical judgement. If they are going to make such grand claims, at least make sure your study is flawless. |

Today I bought the nature's way alive from vitacost. com, it has really good reviews at drugstore. com; one person said it was even better than the juice plus, which is much more costly. |

Errr, a question, do most of you take multi-vitamin every day? I had dig into some of the ingredients and found many of them over-offer vitamins that a person really need one day(maybe just for Asian). I always want to try my best to get enough vitamins from food. |
