I had my 1st microderm last night and the tech suggested AFA Exfoliating Gel Plus for my deep cystic acne. Being the product junkie that I am I bought it....$75 but it is a 6month supply and she swore by this stuff. I really trusted what she said bc she was not trying to sell me a bunch of products. She listed lots of over the counter products that are good for my skin (even though they sell lots of brands).
Questions: Has anyone used this product or this line? and How much do you tip on a microderm...its in a dr. office so I felt kinda weird...just curious. |

| On the question of tipping for a microderm (or other cosmetic prodedures such as peels) done at a doctor's office, my opinion on this is any tip would be inappropriate. I have had both microderm and peels done at my derms and have never tipped the technician. |

| I thought the same about the tip....but then again...it is a "spa" within the dr's office. It is very clinical and not at all spa-like so I was confused. |

| My derm doesn't have a "spa" type setting but now that you mention it I can see why that would be confusing. I am interested to hear what others have to say about tipping in this situation. I would still say no since it is not really spa like but I wonder where you would draw the line on this? |

I used this for the first time last night....WOW!!! It is amazing....it stings a bit when you first put it on but that goes away. You do not use anything over it which was hard for me to take bc my skin is pretty dry in the winter. The combo of this product and my microderm has cleared 100% my 2 new cystic acne bumps on my chin.....and for anyone that gets these you know it takes weeks/months for them to go away. They are gone in 2 days!!!
I'll do a formal review after I have used this product for longer. I'm crossing my fingers that the results continue. I'll be buying the cleanser and moisturizer when I go in next week. |
