I'm beginning to see fine lines on cheeks, but unfortunately those are the areas I am most acne prone and dry skinned at the same time...go figure. Does anyone know of any oil free or non-comedogenic products that would erase these fine lines? Products that have worked for you from experience? I've tried vitamin C serum in the past and it didn't do much for them. |

Mermaid, would you want to try something like Renova or RetinA and tackle both the fine lines and acne together? Just a thought! |

A product using Matrixyl 3000 would be less harsh as a first step than Retin A. There are some positive reviews here in skincare from people using it. |

Nope - I've tried two and liked neither. |

Oh, well! That's too bad, I was hoping you would have a recommendation! |

Well I was thinking about seeing a dermatologist anyway to see what they recommend. I tried Retin A one time (prescribed for acne) and it didn't seem to do anything for my skin. Didn't feel like there was anything on my skin - didn't burn, peel or anything. I did buy the cream in Mexico though, so maybe I got a bogus batch or something.
I wondered if a light chemical peel or laser resurfacing would be good? How about Glycolic acid cream or possibly a retinol cream? |

HI
I am ordering a sample product called Line Eraser from I feel Pretty the full bottle is only $18.00 this has 9 percent Matrixyl in it and says it takes 2 months to see visible results. I will let you know how it goes. |

Hi Mermaid - it depends on how deep the wrinkles are. Retinol is a less effective retinoid than Retin A so if that didn't work for you.......
The reason I suggested the matrixyl 3000 is that I've got some occasional fine lines which appear to the side of my eye and both products improved them after about 3 weeks and very gently with no side effects (didn't like the texture of either product which is why I can't recommend one). I don't think it would have much effect on deeper wrinkles. |

Are the lines, age lines or is it dehydration lines. If it is dehydration you might just need a moisturising mask. |

Thank you all for your recommendations!
I don't think they are dehydration lines because they seem to still be there when I hydrate my skin. Although I was in two different skin stores yesterday asking for recommendations for products, and both women said they couldn't even see any wrinkles on my skin....which leads me to believe possibly I'm seeing something that isn't there? In any case, I do want to still prevent wrinkles. I was looking for under eye treatments and came across this one: MD Formulations The Temps Brighten & Tighten Eye Serum. Has anyone used this and know if it worked good for them? I'm kinda leaning more toward the amino acid/peptides for prevention. |

I have been using Skin Ceuticals CE Fer. followed by their B5 Gel and Face Firming moisturizer. My fine lines have disappeared! I am 47 and my face is virtually line-less. I am sure a lot of it is good genes (the luck of the draw) and sun protection, but I definitely saw my fine lines diminish/disappear using these products. |

Skincarefreak, I use the Skin Ceuticals Skin Firming Cream. It is the same product that Mermaid7000 posted the link to. I think that I am getting a greater benefit from the C+E and B5 Gel combo than the firming cream. I really love this stuff. I have read complaints of the C+E being sticky, but I haven't found this to be the case--it glides on so easily, you don't have to use very much. After applying the C+E, I wait a few minutes to let it soak in and then apply the B5. My skin is so smooth and stays that way all day. |

I have the same problem, some smile fine lines on the cheeks, especially when I smile or talk, but the lines disappear when I just wash my face or just get up in the morning. I'm so concerned of them. Somebody help me? |

I'll second Super CP serum if your skin can tolerate it. I have the tiny fine lines under my eyes which I think makes the area look dehydrated. After I started using the Super CP Serum I bought from Skinbiology.com, and their protect & restore lotion, it seems to lessen the dehydrated look, so I keep using it everyday now. |

Judy: I've tried Skinceutical C serum, while it made my skin even drier, I felt so tight, not the firming effect, just dehydrating, do you combine some other serum? |
