I just found this site. The prices for a very fine Pearl Powder seem really good. Anyone have any thoughts on this site or the products.

Thanks,

Hi Winnie,

I'm not sure. Being "mathematically challenged" ... I'm not sure if the "300 mg per vial for 12 vials" actually refers to a weight.

If it is an actual weight, then 3600 mg would be .127 ounces ... which makes it very expensive.

I could be wrong on that ... when it comes to numbers I often am! Laughing

TKB sells their pearl powder for $6 something per ounce I think ... and Markey sells hers for around there are well. I think either of them would be a better bet. Smile

HTH

Mary

Hi Winnie,

I took a look at the site and it carries a pearl cream my mom had when i was a kid. It was awful from my memory and she never used it much.

I would stick to "known" companies though like TKB or GoW for pearl powder (especially if you've never worked with it before), just in case.

I ordered pearl powder from ebay and it smelled faintly of S**t. (not kidding) I'm not sure if it's just me or the quality I got was subpar.

I bought a healthcare brand of pearl powder and it had a faint smell, like chalk and something stale... I thought it was a characteristic pearl smell? Perhaps other varieties may be refined and deodourised.

Thanks for taking a sniff for me Smile I'm glad not all powders smell like mine. I probably got a bad brand. I didn't like the consistency in mine either.

ya, know. In the bag my powder from GoW doesn't smell like much. But, the concoction I made with witch hazel distillate, liquid BGs, jojoba oil, and veggie base cream doesn't exactly smell wonderful. After I put it on it isn't noticable at all.

Can always add few drops of favorite essential oils to balance out the smell. Cool

EO is a good idea, but be careful about using some oils (i think some of the citrus oils) which can make skin more sensitive to the sun ok? When i was trying to scent my veggie base (took me awhile to get used to the smell, but i actually kinda like it "as is" now Laughing ) I have learned that expressed lime can make skin photosensitive while distilled lime does not. Funny huh?

Kristen,
Hi there! I bought the distilled LIME PEO to offer after reading some of your posts around the net. WOW, it is awesome!
