anyone a member? I joined about two weeks ago because one of my favourite authors was doing a reading there. Strange place. Stranger people. Fun, though. |

What is "second life"? Why don't you tell us more about it. |

I've heard of Second Life, but can't remember much about it. Is it a virtual reality community? |

Looked interesting so I installed the program to try it out. I think my operating system may be too slow though as it kept crashing on me and I had a lot of trouble moving around. Got stuck in the air flying, drowned, couldn't move, moved to far and fast. It was all over the place. Also had trouble with building my appearance. Couldn't see what I actually looked like and had a lot of trouble with the options they gave and altering features. Odd. I got too frustrated and uninstalled it. Looks like it could be a lot of fun though. If I ever get a new computer I'll give it another go. |

Sorry for delay in replying: been spending quite a bit of time there. It may sound stupid but I've bought some land and am setting up a house! It is a virtual community but it's huge. Googling second life will take you there and it's free to join and have a look around. Anyone who is a member or who joins can look me up: my nickname is the same as here. It's quite a lot of fun really: I used to love computer games until they got too hard and fast for me - this is a nice compromise. |
