I cannot decide between the Obagi system or Dr. Hauschka's line. I did Obagi 4 years ago with dramatic results...but the redness and peeling were also dramatic. I want so badly to get some good results but am unsure if I want to deal with doing Obagi right now...does anyone have any thoughts? |

Maybe there was a couple of products from the obagi line which really helped your skin and a couple that irritated it, if you could find out which ones amybe you could use obagi and dr hauschka, don't make the mistake of thinking you have to use everything from one brand. |

Hello! I think you need to determine what your goals/expectations are before you can decide. In my limited experience, Dr. H is more of a preventative/moisturizing line, not a true treatment line. I've been on Obagi for a couple of months now and my take on it is that you don't have to do it to an extreme. I am using .05 retin-a and don't plan to increase it since I get great results, yet minimal redness/irritation, at this level. Hopefully some others will chime in on this, but that's my 2 cents! HTH! |

It all depends on your current skin condition. IMO,if there is no major concerns you may better off using an quality skin care line rather than put your skin under necessary stress. |

Thanks guys for the replies. Well, my skin is overall pretty good. I just wish that it had that super firm and tight look it had when I was young. I have a very little bit of pigmentation around my jaw that has come back after I used Obagi 4 years ago. But I am super careful with sun and I use sunscreen. But I am now wondering if I should use Obagi's C serum with the hydroquinone in it, along with my Dr. H stuff. I have minimal fine lines but I am just feeling...well, a bit older all of a sudden. Is that just b/c I am going to be 40 soon? Is it just a mental thing? haha. Do guys worry about this stuff? |
