Hi guys!
I'm learning alot here about anti aging skin care and have realised that everything I've used except for the obvious sunscreen is realy doing nothing for fine lines, blotchyness, sagging etc.

If you could name your 2 favourite SPF face creams, Vit C serum, BHA Peel, AHA Peel and weak Retinol products, this will help me out alot with choosing the best and most affordable anti-aging skin care regime!!! I'm so excited Very Happy about starting with products that actually work!!!! Laughing

Don't have 2 favorites, but I do like Cellularskin-rx C+ Firming Serum Vitamin C, Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel as an AHA peel, and Avene Ystheal as a mild retinoid. HTH.

Hi and welcome!
I have oily, acne prone skin

SPF: Sofina Lucent UV and Bioderma AKN Spray

Vit C: Not a big fan of VitC, but, if I had to choose, it would be ISC Superserum and Skinceuticals 10 or 15

AHA/BHA Peel: ISC Active serum

Retinol: Currently using and LOVING Avene's Ystheal Emulsion (for face) and Ystheal Eye. They are actually Retinaldyhyde (sp).

Asking us to choose two products is like asking an alcoholic to have one drink.
I've tried but I cannot get a list shorter than about six or seven at the bare minimum.

Hee hee, I totally agree, loopy. But I'll try: I am liking MD Formulations Glycolic Cleanser and DDF SPF/moisturizer followed with Jane Iredale PurePressed Base with SPF.

Do you use both retinol and AHA at the same time? What moisturizer do you use on top of AHA?

No different days Very Happy I probably only use Active serum 3 days a week and same for retinol. Too much of either irritates my skin. I just use whatever moisturiser i feel like with active serum, but usually dermalogica active moist.

I can't use retin of any forms. It's just too harsh on my skin Sad I'm only starting to use Lactic Acid (actually just used it the first time just now) and found it stung my skin quite a bit. Does AHA work the same way as Lactic Acid? What is stronger AHA or LA?

Lactic acid is a form of AHA (I'm pretty sure Question ) - I know that lactic acid is better for more sensitive skin.

Also, have you tried any Avene retinol? I can use Eulage aroud my eyes with absolutely no problems and I have sensitive skin too.

I really don't know much about differnt types of acids at all. I was browsing on Diana Yvonne website and came across lactic acid. It said it's suitable for sensitive skin and since it's cheap I thought I'd give it a try. It stung my face when I used it, but no irritation marks and redness went away in 15 minutes. So I guess I'm gonna keep using it.
As for Avene, I've only used their sunscreen and Thermal spray. I find their products very overpriced here. A large can of thermal water is around 20 pounds here in Thailand, but it's only 6.50 pounds in Malaysia. I've heard good things about Eulage on EDS. Does it Avene retin come in different strengths? What's the mildest one?

I have oily skin. SkinMedica Vitamin C, Vivant Mandelic Acid, and Professional Solutions 5%BHA work well for me. I used to use PSF 1.0 Retinol Nite Repair alternated with Tretinoin Gel, but recenetly eliminted the Nite Repair and use Treetinoin Gel nightly.

To those of you who have tried ISC Super Serum and other vit C serums, how does the ISC compare? Say Vivier, PSF, Cellular Skin RX, SkinMedica, etc. TIA!
