Did everyone get the email about the new Vitamin C formula from PSF? No more glycerin!! YIPEE!! I will be waiting with baited breath for reports from everyone. They are doing a 15% off and GWP promo on their website at the moment too. |

I got the e-mail too! But I am just starting out with C serum, so I don't think I can jump to 15% right out of the gate. I look forward to reading posts from those of you that will start using it soon. |

I was just going to post this but you beat me to it!
Isn't it great, no more glycerin!
And I am so glad it is buffered because it will work better on my sensitive skin. It makes SUCH a huge difference for me at allowing me to use a higher percentage.

Just wondering what does glycerin actually do? It is a very common ingredients in skincare products. Why is it so good without it? |

some people - me included - who just hate the feel of glycerin in products. If it is way down the ingredient list, it is OK, but when it is one of the first 3 or 4 ingredients, I am usually guaranteed of not liking the texture or feel on my skin. |

I use Vivier's Vitamin-C serum, no glycerin, basically pure vitamin c. It is water soluable and ph balanced. It's more expensive than PSF's but is from a pharmaceutical company and offers a 100% bottom of the jar guarantee. The have it in different strengths and combinations, I use their C+E serum. |

I don't know about glycerin but here's something in the vivier that makes it feel oily going on. |

It's a humectant so it holds moisture in the skin. Dehydrated/dry types seem to like a bit and oilies have a tendency to find it sticky. |

I agree. I really dont like the texture of Vivier either. Hoping that the new PSF one is more watery like Cellex-C... |

What's interesting is the ferulic which you can add to the vitamin c. Apparently, this one just disappears into your skin, like cellex c..wonderful, esp. for summer, |

Marina - What ferulic are you talking about?
Is that CellexC, PSF or Vivier because I can't see one. |

PSF is offering a ferulic vial or something that you can add to the newly formulated vit.c serum or any other serum or cream (1 oz) that you wish. It's free with the vit.c (which is 15% off-introductory price) I referenced the cellex c only for texture-the new psf supposedly sinks in as easily as the cellex-c. |

Thanks Molly and tiger_tim!
I was going to get Vivier on my next purchase and it is difficult to choose between these two now. |

Got my shipping notification yesterday already! YAY SO EXCITED! And I took the plunge and ordered a moisture mask too, I felt like pampering my skin now that spring has sprung but am going to hate when my CC bill comes in!
Oh, I don't like glycerin because of the feeling it gives, kinda greasy and then sticky..I HATE sticky! |
