Awww, I have no funny or horror facial stories. Well, I'm kinda glad that I don't have any horror facial stories though.
Guapagirl's got a DIY facial/peel horror story. Does that count?

yeah, I had a facial experience. It wasn't really bad though, it was good in fact. I described it in another thread, I think the one about germain de capuucini products. It was nice but she used this weird blue current that we were talking about earlier. |

It was horrific. only an idiot would use that stuff after what you said! By the way I had a big plate of worms for tea. All my wrinkles have gone. I look 20 years younger and I also lost 2 stone. Isn't it great. You should really try it. |

I never had a facial, but my close friend had one recently & the result was - HORRIBLE Yup, she was mad. Apparently the glycolic acid they used was tooooooo strong for her and her face was sooooo RED, itching, & peeling for weeks! I decided never to do a facial on seeing her |

I am joking. How stupid do you think I am?
BTW loopy, didn't I read that you had bought some of that stuff off lookgr8? maybe it was someone else. Oh and BTW blg83, I cook 'em first as it releases those all important enzymes that aid fat breakdown. If you are using them raw you have to eat them alive and I shall never eat anything that is still living, even oysters |

ROFL = Rolling On Floor Laughing
And right about now I'm wishing that the "sick" emoticon worked but for some reason it's not showing up. Pity, it would be handy! |

Had a Herzog facial, that was nice, starts off with a back massage. Nice and relaxing, skin looked fresh.
Had a few glycol facials but not at a high strength, nothing too dramatic, did seem to draw some impurities and fry and spots that were present.
Tea Tree facial - more for oily skin, nothing I couldn't have done at home but it is relaxing to have someone massage your face.
Had Elemis one, can't remember the exact details, but it was relaxing, massage involved, left feeling refreshed and clean.
I really want to try Dr.Haushka next but there is no where local. |

I have regular facials done but a few months ago my usual esthetician was out so I had a fill in...I am fair skinned (Irish descent) and I have had freckles on my nose since birth. This woman told me that I had done permemant damage to my skin and that I should wear turtlenecks and hats from now on when I was out of the house...it took all I had not to laugh in this womans face because she was so 'concerned'. |
