Hey everyone. So usually I'm talking about what my son is doing to control his acne (it's getting much better), here something that I'd like to share with you guys. As everyone is spending major bucks on eyelash growth products like JM and RevitaLash, I'd like to share with you guys what my little secret it.

Alright so about a month and a half ago I took my son to a nutritionist and she recommended Vitamin B5 and Biotin to him for healthy skin. I decided to take them aswell as she said you can never take too much of them. (Vitamin B5 and Biotin.) So for the last one and a half months I have been and let me tell you, my eyelashes are ATLEAST 0.5cm longer. They're also thicker and much more silky. I'm almost 100% sure it is due to the B vitamins because they are the only things that have changed in my diet. I will continue to re-buy these vitamins as I LOVE what they are doing to my eyelashes.

Also, every time I look in the mirror, I swear I think my eyes have gained 2 sizes. I'm Caucasian and have pretty large eyes but with the length my eyelashes are now they just POP. I now understand why everyone wants longer eyelashes PRONTO. I look so awake and now my eyes take over my face. (lol)

ANyways, I take Vitamin B5 1000 mg twice a day, as well as 1000 mcg of Biotin twice a day. The Biotin is from Solaray and the B5 is from Swiss Natural.

I hope you guys try this!! I LOVE my lashes now.

The vitamin B5 is d'pantothenic acid. I can't find it on the website either but I'm looking at the label right now and it says that.

That would be a more economical way to get great eylashes and better skin an extra the lash serums can't match.

Thanks for the tip! I've been taking 3g of biotin every day and 4g of MSM, but haven't tried the B5. Thank God I am almost done w/ the Hair Pills from Walmart, so I won't be adding more pills without cutting back on something else. LOL

I wish B5 and or Biotin worked for me they way it seems to for others. I've taken serious amounts of both on and off for 30 years and it did not help skin or hair. Sad

Did you take them together for at least several months? I know biotin works well to strengthen the nails. MSM is supposed to work on hair, and joints. But you have to take up to 2 g twice a day (total of 4 g per day) preferably with 12 hrs in between. I am trying to do this, and it's supposed to take 6 weeks before you see results.

I thought I remembered reading a post by Tangal that said too much Biotin can cause acne. Parentsaver, your nutritionist said that it wasn't possible to take too much biotin? That would be great news.I just cut Biotin out this week b/c I was afraid it might cause a break out. Did your nutritionist mention anything about the ideal amount of biotin your son should take for his acne? I was previously taking 5,000mcg.

Thanks Parentsaver! I will just cut my biotin down to 2000mg. If the nutritionist was specifically addressing your son's acne, I'm sure she wouldn't recommend a dosage that could potentially exaccerbate his condition.

The highest I found was 500 mg, so you may have to take 2 of them if you bought the 500.
