any of you wear eyeliner just lower eye and not upper. I like the effect on the lower eye but if I line upper as well, Im sure my eyes seem more smaller? Where do you use your liner, upper or lower or both?

if you are going to a party, I think it is better to line the both, but if it is just for the daily makeup, i will just line the up lid, it looks not that party type.

I find just lining the lower eye makes them look droopy or something...I have a friend that does it and I always want to tell her it doesn't look right. Although I think it can look fine if you do the very careful type where you just dot it between the lashes. She just happens to draw too heavy a line.

Most of the times I just line my upper lid. If I want a more dramatic "made up" eye or am going for a smoky effect than I will apply it on the lower lid as well and smudge both lines.

I only apply a thin layer of black eyeliner on top and mascara on both top and bottom. Eyelining on top only, makes my eyes look wider and softer.

Zizi, I have lined just the lower, not too heavily, all my long life and continue to do so. I think it looks good and probably depends, as someone here suggests, on the shape of your eyes. I think Audrey Hepburne whom I used to look like and imitated did that... And who can argue with her sense of beauty and style? Smile

My almond shaped eyes look bigger with eyeliner on top only, and much smaller if I line the bottom as well. Some people look really good with liner all around, but not me.

I am such NOT a make-up guru. I just line the top during the day with no mascara on the bottom lashes. I read, from Sephora I believe, that this opens your eyes up if you have almond eyes (hellifIknow).
If I go out at night, I line the bottom, too, and smudge it.
But, lately I've been seeing forien pictures of asian ladies with the most beautiful made up eyes(I'm so jealous!) I want to try, but I've spent all my budget on skincare! ( And, looking for a good base)

I do both. I feel so weird if I only have the top lid lined and not the bottom lid. So I will minimum use some light color eye shadow to "dust" it on my lower lid it brightens up my eye more. I've got really tired looking ones.
