Hello everyone! This is my very first post but I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks. The amount of info here is astounding and I think I'm just overwhelmed. I was wondering if you ladies could help me decide on what product line to splurge on? (BTW, I hope this thread is supposed to go here...not sure if it should be in the product reviews section).
I'm 28 with sensitive combination skin. My problem is 1) huge pores 2) some blemishes (especially on forehead and chin) 3) uneven skin-tone. Right now I use the Shiseido Pureness Cleanser and then the Estee Lauder Hyrda Complete moisturizer (which I love because it's so light and my skin feels incredibly smooth afterwards). I'm basically looking to add to this routine by adding a good Vit-C serum, a good mask, and maybe something to fight the blemishes...but i don't know where to start!
I have looked into several product lines but am unable to decide which one is best for me (PSF v. IS Clinical v. Decleor v. Cellex-C). And since I have limited funds, splurging to test all of them is a definite impossibility. So I was wondering from your personal experiences, what have you had success using? Which Vit-C serum has been the best for you? How does one even apply Vit-C serum? Before or after moisturizer? AH!
I'm so sorry for sounding like a complete novice but I'm not good with these skincare things but I realize that I really need to step it up now that I'm approaching 30 (yikes!!!). Any advice would be great appreciated.
Thanks so so much. |

I love IS Clinical Proheal for sensitive skin and mild breakouts. For me,it evens the skintone, gives a nice glow and helps the pores. I have tried the Cellex-C and it didn't do much and made me breakout in tiny bumps. I like Candy's Triple C Serum as well. PSF has several products I like such as cleansers and such but I don't use them regularly like I do the Proheal. I use Decleor from time to time at night in addition to my IS Clinical Active Serum, such as the essential and angelique balms, very hydrating. I love their Harmonie Gentle Soothing Cream. I'm sure that more people can comment on the other products. |
