Hi everyone,
my skin condition is a bit congested, dark circle around eye area. Previously have used Thalgo for a year, didn't seem to have big effect, don't know if i've used the wrong ranges. Any suggestion? Comment welcomes. |

Are you looking for products for the eye area, or are you looking for a skincare routine to treat your congested areas? |

Hi Caspers Mum,
I'm looking for a product for my routine skin care and my eye area also.
My skin problem: congested, a bit of clogging, dehydrated and dark circle on eye area. Five years ago I've used full range of Ella Bache and skin improved, but when I moved to another area, couldn't get this brand, then I used Thalgo, cleansing milk, moisturizer, mask and serum, couldn't see the improvement myself. Was it because my skin could not absorb due to some clogging?
Now I'm thinking about Biodermie (it's why I posted the previous question which you have attended to also), the one thing I don't feel comfortable is that the product doesn't list down the ingredient contents, only mention plant extract, this product is manufactured in USA. Brands like Sothy, Thalgo, Dermalogica are easily available to me, can you recommend any brand that can help my skin in routine skincare?
One more question, with the condition of my skin, do I need to go for facial every 2 weeks, because now I'm only going for facial once a month?
I'm quite frustrated, your help is appreciated. thank you. |

Do you have any ingrediants you are allergic/sensitive to?
If not, start with a BHA product (liquid, gel, lotion - as long as it has pH of 3.4% or lower) and also use a surface exfoliant. Some of the common ones are lactic acid, glycolic acid, enzyme peels, TCA (I believe for serious exfoliation here) and more. I would go for either an enzyme or lactic acid personally. Many of the masks are available on EDS. Browse the product review forum.
Also consider your cleanser as that can contribute to dehydration (besides lack of water intake). Use a gentle, non-sulfate cleanser with low pH. I use I Feel Pretty one, but there are many good ones out there .
I think using HA and facial oils might suit you as well. There is a product called B5 on EDS that works as an anti-oxident and hydrator as well off the top of my head.
A new rage seems to be pearl based moisturisers. Check the DIY forum for more info on recipes and commercially available products.
Good luck and hahahah have fun with trying out all the new products. It is a slippery slope. |
