| I have worn that foundation for many many years although I must tell you if you are looking for any kind of coverage, you will be quite disappointed. It's like wearing almost nothing! |

Does it even skin tone out at all? I don't need a lot of coverage, per se. |

| Is future skin an oil-free version? Anyone use that? Seems pricey, even on e-bay. You should test it out for us, Paris. |

There is oil in it...but as I've learned from EDS, oil isn't necessarily a bad thing even for oily skin.
The reviews seem mixed...it seems it's a love or hate...people either rave about it or are full of gripes about it.
Problem is...the stores that carry it aren't around me, so I can't go try it. And it seems mighty expensive to "take a chance" on...
Some folks hated the OP Carrot Balm cleanser and swore up and down it was horrible for break out/acne prone oily skin...but I ADORE IT. It's cleared me up!

Future Skin is more like a cream foundation. I have that too,  (actually have several foundations in that makeup drawer). Future Skin gives more coverage.
I'm not sure that Real Skin would work on oily skins since it's so slick to begin with. I suffer from dry skin.
I think only Bergdorf, Neiman's, Barney's and Bliss carry Chantecaille. For some reason, the color I use, "soft" is never listed anywhere! What you could do, is call and speak to the Chantecaille person at one of those stores. Maybe if you order a lipstick or something in the line, she could make you a little sample from their tester and send that to you. It's worth a try. |

Future skin comes in a pot, like regular cream foundation, whereas the real skin is in a flat compact. What I do is use those disposable white latex or non-latex "sponges" and rub it over the surface of the compact and apply that way. I am having trouble explaining it! Have you ever used L'occitane's 100% shea butter that comes in a tin? It's kind of like that consistency although not as thick. With the shea butter I can run my fingers over the top layer and get some on my fingertips, but if I wanted to transfer some shea butter into another container, I'd need a little spatula to dig some out...well Real Skin is kind of like that. You couldn't pour it into somethig else and if you wanted to transfer some into a different container, you'd have to dig some out, and even then, it would never look like it does in the compact.
If you do get it and like it, be sure to order the refill when it's time to buy more. For years I didn't know they even made refills (seems the SA's never mentioned them)and they are much cheaper!
I hope this helps and please ask me anything else about this product. I don't mind and am glad to help out.
BTW, I am not sure but I think if you get Real Skin in spf 15 or 30, the texture is a bit thicker. The color I use, Soft, didn't come with SPF when I bought it. |

I used it for about a year. I bought the 30 spf and later learned it is best *from a client* to wear the lower spf. She thinks she gets better coverage results that way. It was ok but not a "Love This" product for me. I may try it again in the lower spf. I'm going to Chicago this week-end and will go to Neimans and see. I've been considering the Future Skin as well.

Yeah, I've heard about the texture and thickness difference between the two SPFs...I'm leaning towards the lower SPF as well...I wear sunscreen under foundation anyway.
I'm trying to talk myself out of this...argh! We don't have ANY of the stores that carry it at all, I'd probably have to drive up to Phoenix <gasp>.
My mantra for today "it's not for me, it's not for me, I won't like it, I don't want it, it's not for me, it's not for me..."
I think what attracts me to it is the fact that it's in a compact and it's something I can carry with me for touch ups...

I love Chantecaille Real Skin but it is extremely light and they don't have a wide color selection.
It's lighter in texture than Vincent Longo's Water Canvas. |

I've used it on and off for years. I love the light coverage but may be too light for some. Definitely lighter than Vincent Longo's Water Canvas or L'orac oil free.
Overall, just not a huge color selection. |

| I think both Real and Future are one of the best foundation in quality, texture and etc..much better than Vincent Longo and Nars foundation. The thing is too light coverage, so I cannot use it daily base when I need to cover some.. |
