Anyone experienced that? I feel I have so much makeup and skin care products that I don't think I can finish them in the next yr or so.... but still, I have this sudden urge to buy new stuff. Will most of u wait till u finish your current stuff b4 purchasing new products? Or u don't care and just buy it first? |

Me too! I've been having the same problems for years. The whole habit all started off when I was living overseas as a poor student, so whenever I came home to visit my parents I just stocked up on loads of stuff. Plus I could find lots of things at a much cheaper price here at home. Years later, I'm still stocking up on things, but rather on greed this time. I keep wanting to buy everything My makeup always expires before I use them all up...even basic things like tinted moisturizer, foundation and powder. Skincare products are even worse. I have enough eye creams and masks to last me for a few years, I think! |

I am so with you. What to do ?!? I have a drawer full of products that I bought on others' recommendation or GWP. I actually was thinking getting one of those cosmetic fridge, but my DH doesn't seem to keen on the idea |

I too have lots of products, but it's not from going crazy buying and buying. It's because I've used products for a short while, have some sort of reaction to them and there they sit as I go on to another product or product line. Where is the HG? |

Ugh... the range of stuff you need means you end up with around a dozen full sized products that take at least a year to get through even if you used it everyday... Most of my primers/face powders would probably only be 1/5 through before I throw them out! |

I totally have too much, but I can't help wanting new stuff! I just love playing around with makeup ... I love the colours, the packaging ... all of it! I have a big train case full of my current stuff and then another smaller case of my discards. A few times a year I'll go through and clean out the stuff I know I won't want to use again and usually give it away to my sister and niece. And now, this past week I have been obsessed with going downtown so I can buy more Bobbi Brown eyeshadows and stuff! I don't NEED them, but I can't stop thinking about getting them. I wish I could finish stuff up, but I get sidetracked and enticed by all the new stuff I don't have. |

I have had the same makeups for maybe 5 years. I don't buy a lot of makeups since I don't usually wear makeups. Also if I still have them, I don't buy new ones. I hate throwing away a mascara that I barely used but it has dried up. |

Funny this thread popped up. I just finished spending *yipes* 2 hours cleaning out my bathroom cabinets & drawers of 'stuff'.
For those of you that haven't gotten samples recently of Decleor products, ummm, I think it's cuz I have em all same goes for Cellcosmet, BioElements, Dr. Hauschka & PSF. These actually I have found are fabulous for my travel bag - waste not/want not.
We won't even begin to discuss full-sized products still in the wrappers...(2 BIG drawers )
Makeup?? Apparently I have at least 50 pairs of eyes, because there is no other good reason I can fathom for the amount of eyeliners I own. (Though I do recall a quest, still unfulfilled of an eyeliner that doesn't make me look like a racoon an hour later)
My DIL & cleaning lady are gonna SO love me this week.... |

I totally have too much. The thing with makeup though, is that there's just an unlimited choice of colors and textures and formulations. I don't think i'll ever stop buying makeup. |

It's good to know there are so many of us in the same boat!!! I do TRY to use up products before buying new ones, but somehow I still keep accumulating more and more. To be honest, I think I get bored with something after a couple months, even if it's working fairly well.I also do believe that you need to mix things up every once in awhile'coz your skin gets bored too! One thing I do if I really want to speed up "emptying the tube", is using the serums and moisturizers on less obvious places like elbows knees, and even feet. I have to say it is a bit extravagant for some of the pricier products, but the results are wonderful, and it's better than letting them reach their expiration date sitting in a drawer |

lolz me definitely! and I keep buying them. I reckon my skin care items will last me about another year or so... and my cosmetics, goodness I think that will last forever! even when their shelf life is up I'll never be able to finish using them. it's quite bad. but I have stopped getting any more new skin care into my stash, need to finish the current one first. |

What I think of when you say sample is (if I don't use it myself) a Birthday/Christmas/whatever present I didn't have to pay for |

Erm I think too much or not depends on your perspective? Like to my family and friends for some odd reason - yes I have too much makeup. To myself - nope I think the makeup I have is only a single drop of water (or less) among the whole ocean of products I still want to get
As for finishing make-up, personally I think that's pretty hard if one isn't going to stick with one look/color for a long time? But that's just me |

How big are these drawers Candy? I am really, really hoping that they are HUGE. I need to know that there is someone out there that has more "stuff" than I do. I can't be the only one that has about 10 cleansers unopened, can I??? And that is just cleansers!!!
All I can say is that I am very bad and have a hugh stash of skincare and unfortunately the makeup stash is growing too. Then there are the perfumes......probably about 40 samples of those plus a few full size and minis. I have a big box full of skincare samples. I would count them if I were at home but I would guess 80 or so................
The worst part of it all is that I don't think my huge stash of products will stop me from buying the next thing that catches my interest! |

- This is what I keep my un-opened products & samples in. We will NOT discuss what is actually in my vanity cabinets....all 7 of them and under the sink...I am so sad & pathetic BUT! On the upside, lol - I do not have a fragrance * spam alert * so there's only 1 drawer of them.

My cabinet under our bathroom sink was exploding with samples, half-used, unopened products and many DIY ingredients...My DH forced me to clean out the cabinet about a month ago and made me promise that I will not buy anymore products unless I use up the products I wanted to keep. I have to say, I am trying hard to finish most of my products but secretly...I am also waiting for more orders to come in
I did have success at finishing all my bath and shower products before I ordered from Candyessence. Can't wait to receive them |

I've slowed down a little bit, but I still have far too much stuff. I have two little mini chest of drawers full of makeup and several bathroom drawers full of skincare stuff. My big goal this year is to get to a skincare routine that's as pared down as possible, but still effective. Ditto with makeup. I always ask myself before I buy something whether I'll actually wear that pretty aqua/purple/pink shimmery/sparkly/glittery thing in the pretty packaging, or whether I just want to own it because it's cute. So now my makeup "wardrobe" is filled with pretty basic colors, nothing too flashy, and stuff I'll actually use (though I still have too much, I think). |
