i have medium long fine hair with a bit of a wave, and i just got some side-swept bangs cut. i was just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a brush to help straighten the bangs, and also any roller (non-heated, preferably) recommendations to help define the wave/add volume . . . |

Sark,
Have you tried the velcro or thermal rollers? I have fine hair but a lot of it and those rollers always gave nice volume when my hair was long.

How about straightening it? GHD's are fantastic, not sure if you can get them in the US though. |

For waves, if you don't mind an old-fashioned time consuming process, get those soft sponge curlers and wrap your hair around them before you sleep and sleep on them the entire night and the next morning presto! Waves
My aunts swear it works but I've never tried being too lazy to try it *sheepish* |

I know you said non-heated rollers, so I'm not sure if you use any heated items on your hair, but I have long fairly thick wavy hair, and once I blow dry it I use the Conair curling iron that is heated with hot air. Loveitloveitloveit. I curl sections of my hair under for about 10-15 seconds, and this is enough to straighten the waves from my hair and give it added volume and shine. I do end up with a bit of curl near the ends of my hair, but since my hair is long, it straightens out rather quickly. |
