I am new here and need help. I am currently using Proactiv for my acne prone skin. It is working great but I am in my mid 30's and am starting to notice some fine lines. Also, I would like something to brighten up my skin. I have allergies so I am looking for something that is mildly scented. Any recs for what I can add to my routine? Thanks. |

welcome kikid,
I am 30 and have been using proactive for about 6 years- I have found that it is starting to get too dry for my skin and am trying to ween myself off of it.
I stopped using the toner, now I am in the process of stopping the cleanser and after that I plan on stopping the lotion.
I found that the BP in proactive may be causing my skin to discolor (my chin seems darker than the rest of my face and this is where I get most of my acne).
I have started using the ice elements radiance cleanser- is pretty good, makes my skin really soft. And I have started using the aloette lumitone HP and have only noticed a small difference in the brightness in my skin (after 3 weeks of use)- but some others have kindly told me that GOW has the exact same product as the lumitone in serum form for about 9.00 USD- you may want to check that out.
Over all I have noticed that since I have been using proactive less and less, my skin is starting to brighten up.
HTH

Lisey told me about this site and it looks really good- there is a thread about GOW as well- you can search for it.
