Does anyone know if I can mix Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate with Matrixyl 3000 in the same lotion/serum without adversely affecting the activity of the Matrixyl 3000?
P.S. I am already aware it is a NO-NO with L-Ascorbic Acid! |

I have been mixing MAP with my 1,000mg ascorbic acid crystals. I got a recipe from...I don't remember. But,am I doing a bad thing?
Hope someone with more experience can answer your question.

Actually I meant mixing L-AA crystals with Matrixyl 3000 is a NO NO!
What I need to know is whether I can get my dose of Vitamin C together with Matrixyl 3000 by using MAP instead, without killing the Matrixyl.
I have been mixing MAP and L-AA for a while myself. |

According to Dr Hannah Sivak of Skin Actives, peptides need to be in a pH environment of between 6 to 8, amongst other factors, to maintain stability of function i.e. not be de-activated. L-Ascorbic Acid invariably lowers the pH wherever it is introduced. I just wonder whether MAP has the same problem.
Yes, I know the good doctor has certain quirks (I've completely stopped posting there), but given the doctorate in bio-chemistry that she holds, I have since stopped mixing L-AA with Matrixyl. After all, since MAtrixyl is a relatively expensive ingredient, I don't want to risk de-activating it. |

Thanks for the info about LAA + peptides nyonyakai, but I can't see why MAP with it's neutral PH would cause a problem. Is there something I'm missing? |

Have you tried posting on GoW or asking Markey? She might know this. I heard a lot of people on GoW are very knowledgeable DIYers. |
