After suffereng Oily skin, my skin is starting to change.
I have noticed that after I have applied moisturiser my skin feels tight and and I have to use more.
I think sundamage may be the cause, I went abroad over christmas and return extremly tanned, my skin has never been the same since.
Here is what I have been using/tried:
*Jojoba Oil - stopped this, it was too drying
*Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil - still OK
*Roc Hydra+ SPF 15- this has been good but I have nearly used up.
*Dermalogica Active Moist - Good but skin still feels tight.
I am looking for a moisturiser to use during the day that will hydrate without being too heavy and making my skin look greasy also that will matify without my skin feeling tight.
I think it would also be good to have a moisturiser with combined SPF to prevent any further damage.
I also have a full bottle of Decloer Ylang Ylang Aromaessence I could encorporate, I have been putting off using this due to the way my skin has been behaving.
Any suggestions would be fantastic, I would prefer something I can purchase at Boots but am open to other brands ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Hi Rosebud,
I think that in the long term, Dr. H oil ends up changing your skin type - at least that's how I feel. I had a pretty dry patch, which I am almost over now. What worked for me:
Dr. H moisturizing day cream (it's supposed to stimulate your skin to produce its own moisture) with Dr. H quince day cream on top. I pat the quince on top w/o rubbing. It works really well and I don't end up being greasy or dry. In the book, Awakening Beauty, from Dr. H corporation, they recommend mixing a drop of normalizing oil to the moisturizing cream - which I think I'll start doing this summer.
I;ve been trialing a number of moisturizers (APC, Chrysalyx, even Creme de la mer lotion!) but in the end the Dr. H moisturizing cream and quince is working out better for me. I also bought the moisturizing mask which I use once/twice a week after the clay mask.

I started using Eucerin Calming Cream with colloidal oatmeal. Its wonderful, rich but light, not greasy or shiny and gives a matte appearance for a moisturizer. I initially bought it because I wanted s.t. calming since Im using Renova. I tried Cetaphil before but like this much better. Cerave seemed to just dissappera in my skin and I had to apply a lot. |

Rosebud,
have you tried thicker, more moisturizing oils like Macadamia Nut Oil, Avocado Oil, Rosehip Oil etc? They can be very healing IMO. |
