Is there a product that will help firm up the skin in the neck? Also it seems like my jowls want to fall off my face. I have tried exercises but nothing seems to help. |

When you truly have loose skin(not fine wrinkles) only surgery will really cure that.I had a small amount of skin hanging below my neck and jowls and surgery completely eliminated that.,I am very glad I did it.(Trust me I tried eveything first and nothing helped) |

Look into both Copper Peptides (CPs) and DMAE. Should both help; CPs long-term, DMAE short-term. |

There is a product available from the Time For Me catalogue that I use that makes an appreciable difference. It is called Velform Chin and Neck wrap. THhe upper arm wrap is also very good. Though I am toned, I was beginning to get a little crepey at my elbow area and the arm wrap made it all disappear. I wear it overnight - I highly recommend both products. |

I understand Obagi can help to eliminate some wrinkles, depends if its wrinkled or really droopy(in which case surgery may be the only option) |

In DermaDoctor web-site. The Dr. said that there isn't anything except cosmetic surgery. She also advised to use Neova and that it is more of a steady positive treatment with copper peptite.
I am still debating to buy it right now. Maybe next year. |

I use all my unfinished skin care products for my necks. Same as normal skin care, toner, moisturiser. |

Ginpie,
There is a brand new product out by Ice Elements that was formulated to help with this problem, however depending on the severity of the issue it can only firm up so much but is worth the try!
It is called Edelweiss serum:

Early next year there will be an Edelweiss night cream so that the effects will be further boosted.
If you have any doubts if this product is for you, just log into the message board and speak with either Brenda or Shelly, or you could call.
Good luck and take care.

GinPie,
Are you talking about neck rings or a crepey neck. If you are under 30, you should not have a crepey neck yet. If you do, you might just need surgery as fat collection in the neck may be genetic. For Neck rings, you might want to try the Edelwiess serum everyone is raving about here from Ice Elements. I have mine on a wait list, but haven't gotten to try it yet.

lucyluc, would you mind telling what you had done? I have seriously been thinking about this as turkey neck runs in the family and i don't think any treatment or exercise is going to help. |

I am thinking of trying Orlane B21 Firming Neck & Decollette Serum with Orlane B21 Intensive Firming Care to tighten my neck and jowl area. Anyone else tried these products? |

You might want to look at this article also, it shows the progress a 62 yo man made with CP's, ExFol and Emu Oil.

Would that Nuface device that scalawaggirl uses so beautifully help? |

I second (or third) the CPs! They are certainly helping me as is the Nuface. |

i missed your post earlier, I have also looked at products similar and wondered if they would work. and my upper arms could stand some toning. I do a lot of weight lifting for them, but that fatty area just over the elbow drives me crazy.
I'll have to give these a try. |

Agree with the DMAE for the jowl area, could help a bit, some respond to DMAE better than others, but worth a shot, has clinical trial research behind it. Also, I use Avon Clinical Lift and Tuck Body Shaper on my neck (supposed to be for body, but hey, where ever it works! ), and I think my neck profile (from the side view) looks better since I started using this. Got mine on ebay. Its a keeper, not a miracle but every little bit of firming helps! |

lorimcp; I had a minifacelift, necklift, fake chin, my lower and upper lids done.I have to tell you that sometimes you are better off just getting surgery and solving the problem instead of buying"potions". It has made a huge difference, finally got rid of that little turkey neck I always hated, it has also made me a lot happier,I can look in the mirror and recognize the attractive person I was 15 yrs ago.I am 52 but most people now think I am in my mid thirties.Best $$$$ I ever spent. |

I totally agree lucyluc. But at my age, I am not ready to do that. I can't see myself doing that once I hit my 70's |

That's pretty much what I am looking at, have always needed the 'fake chin'. I have decided to give the NuFace, BQ, and maybe some exercises. Add CPs and see what the spring brings. If still needed then I'm just going for it I think mid to late 40's or 50 is a good time, skin can still rebound etc. You can't wait til 70 for the best result. |

At what age to do you 'persevere' with fighting the effects of time with skincare products before throwing in the towel and opting for surgery? I am 39 and can clearly see what the future has in store for me regarding my neck and jowls. There are the tale-tell beginnings of saddle sacks forming in the jowl area, and I already have deepening rings around my neck and decollette area. As for my eyes, I have giant semi-creping hoods on the upper lids that are partially caused by genetic's (almost all of my Scottish relatives have them) in addition to age. I am seriously considering a brow and lid lift but don't know if I should try some other skincare products for a few more years before taking the final step towards surgery. Will the 'hoods' return if I have them removed too early? Am I wasting my time with 'potions' in the meanwhile? I am so torn between the product route versus the more intensive options such as thermage or surgery. For those of you who've had neck/face/eyelid surgery, would you have done it earlier in life, looking back? |
