I'd like to try out Shu Uemura's cleansing oils, which are basically 100% mineral oils. Has anyone tried it before?
Do I need to use another cleanser after this? I have combination skin and do get breakouts easily around the T-zone area. |

Hi Florli,
Yes, I use the Shu Balanced Cleansing Oil (the yellow one) and have been for about a year. I really like it a lot. It takes off all of my makeup, sunscreen, dirt and grime and leaves my face feeling comfortable. It doesn't break me out at all... I wouldn't think of using anything else. HTH!

Thanks Ali
I'm thinking of the pink one. Their website claims that the pink one is for normal and combination skin. (I have combination skin)
What about Decleor's Cleansing Oil? I know it's different from Shu's as it's made from essential oils but their products are usually highly acclaimed... |

I haven't tried the Decleor Cleansing Oil, but I have heard wonderful things about it. I don't think that one is made with mineral oil so if you're reluctant to use one made with mineral oil, then I think the Decleor would be your best bet. |

To be honest, I can't see what's the difference between mineral oils and essential oils...They are both natural ingredients, period.
I tried OCM before, but it's giving me lots of breakouts and my face turned oilier than ever. Maybe I was doing it incorrectly...But since then, I'm reluctant to use DIY skincare...I don't trust myself |

Florli,
Have you been putting the oil on a dry face, massaging it in and then adding little bits of water to emulsify and then rinsing off? Starting with a dry face and hands is key. |

haha
I only realized this point today when I was researching on the Shu cleasing oil.
But I still trust store bought products over myself when it comes to my SKIN |
