I looked up this site to find out more about Dr H Cleansing Creme, because I was going to make some of my own, following Carekates' recipe. When I did a search on this product like a million topics came up and I didn't know where to start. Someone posted a link to this website and being predominantly Americans/Canadians I think people were less interested in the UK site, and so missed this video (hence the trillion questions about application, including my own - you'd get lost in the many search results if you simply went 'knead' or 'roll' etc and 'cleansing cream'. I read most of them and still couldn't quite picture the exact thing to do).
I found this video extremely helpful and I thought I'd share...

Just viewed it! Brilliant well done for finding that. I'd stopped using the cream as I didn't really know how to apply it... now I do! |

Glad you find it helpful. Hope everyone else who has found the CC not working for them well enough simply because they weren't applying it right will appreciate the link, too.
(and then they can join in the rave about DHCC... ) |

Thanks pumpingmummy for your research. I didn't know that this cleansing cream should be used this way. In fact, I am using Jurlique's Face Wash Cream and Aromatic Hydrating Concentrate Lavender that are supposed to be used in the same way. I was thinking to get myself a tube of DHCC to try but after watching the video, I think I should do that after using up the existing stock. Thanks. |

I would have just bumped up the thread had I found it, but I didn't, and found this site instead.
Sorry if anyone's offended |

Cool. I'm guessing this is how you would apply the homemade version of it as well? |

Pumpingmummy, no of course no one is offended (certainly not me anyway)! It's great that this forum is such a wealth of information
mtview, have you tried changing the active x settings? This worked for me. |

rzecka - Could you tell me what the Active X Setting is? |

Sure jwong95
In Internet Explorer, click on Tools in the menu at the top, then select Internet Options. Click on the Security tab. Click on Custom Level. The first 5 options are all to do with Active X settings. I set them all to enable and the video worked for me.
NOTE OF CAUTION though. The settings are set to disabled for a good reason - for high security - so I would suggest setting them back after you have viewed the video.
I hope this works for you! Good luck |

rzecka,
I changed the active x settings and it still gives me an error
Here is the error message:
RealMedia File Format: File "cleansing.rm" does not support playback over linear file systems (e.g. HTTP 1.0).
Any idea? |

Maybe you have an old version of Internet Explorer or Real Player?
I have Internet Explorer version 6. Click on Help in the menu, then About Internet Explorer to find out yours.
As for Real Player, I have version 10.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. Can anyone else help out?? |

I've had the same problem and at first I thought they were firewall settings but now I've eliminated that. My home laptop gets the same error but my work laptop (hooked up to the same network at home) has no problems. Both have the same O/S, up to date patches, IE updates, RP and activeX - I'm obviously missing something here. I've also tried different browsers (Opera, Mozilla, Fire Fox), as well as running it directly in RP, and still have the same problem on the laptop. I haven't figured out why but my motivation's been low since I can view it from the other comp. I don't usually have problems with .rm files on my lappy though
Have you sorted it out? |

Unfortunately this video seems not to be on the site any longer.
I think I understand the press and roll method but I have a question about the amount to use. The instructions indicate 1/2 inch. I used this amount last night and mixed with a bit of water but it didn't seem like enough product to press and roll over my entire face.
Should I be using more or do you just work with a small amount? Thanks in advance. |

I just noticed this topic was first posted April 13, 2005
To have a product that is used with a special technique you would think they would leave it up. |
