Hi, does anyone know a UK company selling L-ascorbic acid powder? I understand that this form of vitamin C is the best for use in serums, but I have only been able to find the Ascorbic acid for sale. Apparently the difference is the way in which the molecules are arranged[???] , and skin absorbs the L form more readily. I notice the US company Personal Formulator supply it, but the postage is a bit high and customs would have to be paid.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has any info

Someone on here once said the Solgar vitamin C powder is l-ascorbic, so I use that. Can buy it at many pharmacists or online quite easily |

I've also ordered their L-ascorbic acid. Can you tell me how you use it. Do you make it into a serum, if so, what's your recipe?
I really wanted to use it by simply mixing a small amount in the palm of my hand with some moisturiser and then apply it to clean skin. This is how I used to use the Philosophy Vitamin C Powder. What do you think about this method? TIA. |

Hi Keliu,
mine is a serum. the recipe is simple:
1/4 tsp L-asorbic Acid
5 ml distilled water
2.5 ml propylene glycol
2.5 ml glycerin
I've never mixed t on my palm.... as i think it's hard to control the amt each time... |

I don't know if you have access to the "Aloette"
line there in the UK, but they do a fabulous Vitamin C powder you cocktail with your serums.
In Canada & The U.S. it's available on the shopping channels
I really love it, and after trying Vivier, and Cellex C serums, I prefer to use this and mix it with my facial serums. |
