Yahoo!! I've been waiting and waiting for Candy's Lip Service Lip Treatment to be ready! I wasn't comfortable buying L2K because I feel strongly about knowing what I'm putting in and on my body. And anyway, I have lipstick I adore, and with Candy's product you can use other products. I was almost going to breakdown and but the L2K and I emailed a question to Kandis, but she never responded. So it all worked out! |

Oh thats the best news I've heard yet, after raving about this and getting yelled at by everyone because they wanted it and coudn't have it, I am at peace!!
This stuff is fab btw, plumps (long term, slight short term), hydrates like mad and exfoliates.....how can one ask for more! Be sure when you get this to put it on any lip lines above or below lips as well, it has a long term effect on helping that problem! |

Unfortunate about the L2K if you really wanted to try it. But, kiddo, you're in for a real treat with the Lip Service Treatment! Your lipstick is going to look better than it ever has before 'cause your lips will be sooo smoothe and plump. You know how dehydrated lips have all those lines where the lipstick settles and emphasizes them? Well, that won't happen.
If plumping is your desire, use the Lip Service Treatment twice a day. It keeps the plumping affect going 24/7. Think kissable fat-baby lips!
And, if your lips are anything like mine, nothing (not any balm, or lip repair, or L2K, nuthin') hydrates and smoothes the lips like this. The really cool part is that it just keeps getting better and better -- no chapping, peeling skin. Just plump, smooothe, lovely lips.

Glad to know I'm not the only one lying shamelessly to myself with such empty promises!
I too am delighted to try Candy's product, as I've been long eyeing the Lips2Kiss thread with a strange mixture of lemming (due to the envious results many achieved) and disinterest (due to some of the owner's responses and the heavy, frequent, many-times-daily commitment required). I'm excited! |

Very same reasons I won't use L2k, I can't commit to the system just way too involved, I'd damn get injections over that routine and she turned me off big time. I also can not go out of my house without lipcolor on....plus I prefer (will sometimes risk it) to know whats on my face, not to mention isn't it the LAW... if you sell a product to list ingredients. But all that aside, I umm didn't like (the deleted) replies and glee by her of how well the bs was since it was giving her more business ect...total turn off. |

I really agree with both of you -- Lilloco and MM. There is a law about listing ingredients, and obviously others follow it. I'd rather have my dollars go to Candy. (and it's only $15 of them) |

You know, if this product works as good as those who tested says it does, it's quite a hugh savings on all those other products that are out there. Plus the fact that's it's not very time consuming. Put this product on along with her Firming Serum with Matrixyl 3000 and it could possibly put her on the map for "the product that plumps lips". IMO |

So I went to Candy's site and checked out her ingredients for this lip treatment:
Quote: |
Lip Service lip treatment: Versagel ME 750, Crodamol STS, Glycerin (and) Water (and) Butylene Glycol (and) Carbomer (and) Polysorbate 20 (and) Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (and) Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Tribehenin, Sorbitan Isostearate (and) Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, DMAE, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E Natural, LiquaPar® Oil, flavoring, mica |
It seems there're a lot of chemical names that I don't know what they're for. Is there a translation in to English?
I pay attention to the ingredients for lip stuff a lot b/c of the fact that my lips are allergic. So far I have identified one culprit, i.e. beeswax. So good news there's no beeswax in this. I was just wondering if someone could help translate what each of those fancy-name ingredients are supposed to do for you, and do they have more common names? Ahhh you can skip DMAE, HA, Vit E, Carbomer, and water. I do know what these are. Are these ingredients natural or synthetic? Thank you. |

I just ordered this, really looking forward to receiving and using it. I was thinking about ordering L2K, but it was a little pricey for me and the program seemed too tedious (blowdrying and having to apply every 30 minutes seemed too much for my schedule).
I hope i get it soon, my lips really need it! I also ordered some lip gloss in the strawberry smoothie flavor. I'll write back when I try it out |

I didn't follow the L2K thread very closely, but I do remember thinking (like you) that the whole routine was way too involved for me to stick with it. And I agree...it's awesome that you can use any lip color you want along with Candy's treatment!

In all this excitement/puzzlement, I forgot to say that I got one - can't wait. Hope it works for me. I used to think I was the only one with terrible lips until I read Ari's post - sounds pretty similar, so fingers crossed... |

Cat, I just want to stress one more time that, if you have seriously dry lips, use it in the evening the first time. You're going to have some major peeling that first time and it won't be pretty under lipstick or gloss.

Thanks Ari. Trust me, lipstick/gloss is NOT an issue! I lick them off within minutes. The only thing I use with some success id Carekate's tinted lip balm. I'm travelling next week when all my goodies are expected! Oh well, added incentive to come home! |

Bkk girl, you can PM me and I can give you some ideas or at least link you to the appropriate site. I was curious do to the price and decided to look up those that I wasn't familiar with. If you're lips are sensitive you might have trouble with the Matrixyl 3000 on your lips.
ETA. One of the peptides listed I believe was matrixyl 3000. Basing this on the fact I had some issues with Matrixyl 3000 when I used it on MY lips and I don't tend to be reactive.

I would seriously doubt it would be matrixly 3000 that would irritate, but we can all react to something I guess, theres just not anything in there that would cause that.
Oh and her prices are so good because she doesn't gouge anyone! |

I'm confuzeled. I think Matrixyl 3000 is a great product - I use it twice a day in spot treatments. However, when I used it ON my lips I had some burning and discomfort. AFTER I quit the m3000 the burning ceased. I'm not sure of amounts and perhaps the Lip Service amount of peptides isn't much versus the product I was using. Which could make a difference. Someone with more knowledge would obviously know more. If I remember correctly the first three ingredients were more "glossy" type of products. Ack. Can't remember. Will need to double check.
Of course her prices are good. Did anyone say differently?
