Hi,
I've seen a lot of posts about the Obagi NuDerm system and I'm just wondering if anyone has had any success with the Obagi C system? THANKS |

I have seen a lot of posts and threads on Obagi success. You might want to search. Some people even posted before and after pictures. They looked great. |

I used Obagi C system (full regime) but no improvement for my freckles. So I switched to Nuderm system and I am on 15 weeks . Nuderm seems working fine except recently my freckles got a little darker than before. |

I have been using Obagi Nuderm for more than 3 years. I tried 1 set of Obagi-C before, but not much improvement. Nuderm is the best for me. |

Thanks for your feedback....do you use the whole line of Nuderm? What's your regimen? |

I have just started this program for some light sun damage. It has just been a week but I am certainly seeing improvement in my dark spots so far. Hopefully this continues! |

I've been using it for about a week too! My spots SEEM less noticeable but I think that is because it's changed the color of my face!! We'll see! Let me know how you do |

Hi! I've been using the C RX System. It turned my face red (like sunburn red) after a few days. I took a day off and then the color was not so red but still...off (like maybe darker??)... I put it on again today?? |

I've decided to try the whole Obagi-C System (Cleanser, Serum, Day Cream, Night Cream, Sunscreen). I had IPL (almost 1 yr ago) and had some minor discoloration return. It didn't seem bad enough to commit to Nuderm, and was probably the result of inadequate sunscreen.
Since it's only been a week I can't comment too much, but over the last day or two my face seems a bit drier overall. I also had a pollen-induced allergy fit yesterday so who knows, but I actually added additional moisture (Linacare - dermatologist said it is OK to do) after my night cream had absorbed. |

I'm using everything but the cleanser. I am flaking a little and dry. Thanks for the tip about using a moisturizer after the night cream...that might help! |

After reading the post I realized that I totally forgot to mention that the dermatologist said that I may want to add some mild exfoliator to the program. Because I had read posts on other Obagi products I suspected that I may experience some dryness or flakiness - especially until my skin got used to using C.
So I asked at the time about using the Jan Marini Skin Zyme (Green Papaya Enzyme Mask + Gel) which I already have and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE as it is effective, gentle enough for me to tolerate it, weirdly moisturizing, and kinda spa-like. (sorry about the infomercial moment)
Anyway, I did the mask twice last week and it sure helps with clearing off the dry layer and leaving you with "fresh" skin. I didn't experience any problem with doing this and think I will keep it up. |

They sell it here at EDS. I think it totals around $250 for the C system (minus the cleanser). |

I guess I have been using this system for almost a month now. I am very surprised that my freckles are pretty much gone already!! I had two larger marks on the side of my face and they are barely noticeable now too. It looks like all my brown spots will be gone by the time I am done these bottles!!
I still get a few breakouts on this system though and I am still red and even flaking in some areas. I cannot wear makeup or the dead skin looks really awful. I tried using the Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub & lots of moisture to get rid of the flakes...but so far no luck. I think I will try Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel or Epidermx this week!! |

I have been using the ZO Skin Health Exfoliating Polish and that helps with the flakes. I have been using that when I am flaky in the morning after Retin A/Blender use and it seems to keep the flakes a way for a good majority of the day. I also had good luck with Fresh's Appleseed Brightening Exfoliant. It is gentle and also really good at getting the flakes off. |

As promised here is a status update. It has been just over a month (5 weeks) using the product line. I am really pleased with the results to date. My dark spots have shown remarkable improvement...the medium ones are gone and the newer/darker ones are 75% gone. By the time I finish the product I am fairly confident that my skin will be completely even.
This alone is amazing to me. I have tried multiple lightening, and vitamin C products out there without any appreciable success.
The dryness that I experienced seemed to diminish around week 4. Even been getting some compliments on how nice my skin is - which is a weird and wonderful thing for me.
I have absolutely NO idea what I am going to do in a couple more months when I run out. Not sure if I should continue with the C system, move onto maintenance products...any ideas out there? |

Great question! I am at about the same stage as you and I am thinking of purchasing the Obagi C Serum when I am done (not sure what % C yet!). I am also thinking about using the Epidermx or the GA Peel to maintain the results??? I know for sure that I will NEVER step out without sunscreen!!!! |

I don't know anything about the C-RX but I would assume that for maintenance (like with Nu Derm) you would have to continue the hydroquinone part of the products at least a few times a week to maintain your results. |

I thought once you got rid of the mark, they only returned with sun exposure?? How much hydroquinone do you need? (Currently, the night cream, seruma and I think even the day lotion contain hydroquinone). |

Tiffany, I am not sure with the C-RX. With the Nu Derm, you still use the "active" products on maintenance 2-3 days a week. |
