We're looking for a natural spray or something to put all over the yard, my sister is highly allergic to bees/wasps, and I am too.
We're also allergic to pesticides, chemicals, so is there any NATURAL substance at all to spray all over the yard that won't harm cats, either?
It would be nice if it would not only repel bees, wasps, etc. but mosquitoes and flies, too.
It's AWFUL here in south Texas in warm months with the insects |

use brown paper bags and make a 'wasp nest' looking thing and hang them from the eves of your home. Wasps won't build a nest where they think there is one already - they are territorial.
I have these plastic things that hang in the trees They are like a cone with a hole in the bottom. I will them with beer, the wasps and bugs fly up into it and get trapped. They eventually drown in the beer.
I don't know of any sprays to repel them that aren't chemical. Sorry...
I also have one of those blue light zappers for nighttime. I've been curious about the propane repellents but they are a bit pricey for the 3 months of summer we get here. |
