Hi, just wonder any of you have tried the shampoos from LUSH.
What is the result? I know there are stores everywhere in so many countries. |

I have tried once a few years ago, no wonder that it's better than a lot of brands like Head & Shoulder, Dove, ... Since the ingredients are natural that you can give it a try if you feel interests to the LUSH products. |

I've tried both their solid and liquid shampoos and I much prefered ther liquid ones. I quite liked Cynthia Silvia Stout. Although it wasn't really natural (containing SLS), it did make my hair really shiny and soft. |

I belong to the Long Hair Community Forum and lots of people there have used and reviewed the Lush shampoo bars, as well as those from Chagrin Valley. Try a Google search. |

I went through a stage of owning nearly every product they make and whilst some are good, some aren't. Plus i just love sophisticated looking bottles and packaging. I do quite like the i love juicy shampoo and rehab. The ultimate shine solid shampoo is nice, but i don't find that the results are so brilliant that you want to continue using it, most of the time the reason people use lush is because it is gimmicky. I know that people who are vegans and vegetarians are drawn towards the brand but this is because of the brand policies not the actual products, not for me anyway. |

I found them drying on my scalp aswell, thats why i stopped using them as i started getting dandruff which i never suffer from. The solid shampoos gave me dandruff more then the liquid ones but the liquid ones aren't much better. |

I am using I Love Juicy shampoo, and Veganese conditioner at the moment (liquid). A little goes a long way, but I can't say I'm impressed, and won't be repurchasing. |

Like i mentioned before i think you buy in more to the philosophy of the company, its nice that they are natural and have a best before date, that soaps and things are cut in front of you from a block like in a deli.
the products do smell nice and you convince yourself to like them but in the end if you are not getting the results you have to ask yourself if it is worth using them. |

I agree that their shampoos are kind of hit or miss, but I like their potted Big shampoo--it's not really liquid but more of a creamy paste. It's too drying to use everyday but using it once a week is fine for clearing styling products from my hair and it does leave my very fine hair thicker and fluffier looking. I also like the solid bar shampoo Soak and Float for keeping dandruff at bay--it works better than anything else over-the-counter that I've ever used except Nizoral, which shouldn't be used more than once or twice a week.
Misses, for me at least, are the Godiva solid shampoo bar (heavenly jasmine smell but didn't leave my hair soft and manageable) and I Love Juicy (for me, too drying). |

I know what you mean, wickawer, it is a *very* strong smell of juniper cade oil. But, believe it or not, it doesn't stay that way for long. After two or three uses, the bar itself calms down scentwise, and even for the first use, the smell doesn't stay in my hair as long as I use a nice conditioner. What I do when I buy it (about once a year, since it lasts so long) is to bring a ziplock bag to segregate my newly-acquired shampoo bar from any other purchases so the smell doesn't migrate.
I know, this sounds like a lot of hassle, but for me the cade oil beats the zinc, salicylic acid, and coal tar shampoos hands down for effectiveness. I've had moderate seborrheic dermatitis for years and thought there was no cure till I started alternating Soak and Float and Nizoral. |

Flitcraft do you use the snake oil aswell, that has the same ingrediants doesn't it. Plus it has the butters that make it moisturising. |

No, I don't use the snake oil bar--I did try it but it was too messy and hard to wash out. But one of my friends with SD swears by using a massage oil on her scalp and then washing it out. Haven't tried it myself, but I will say her hair looks good. |

I got on a Lush kick awhile back and tried several of their bar shampoos and the Veganese conditioner. They all stripped the h*ll out of my hair. You could see the color washing down the drain, esp with the Veganese. Even the Reincarnate bar which is supposed to add red highlights was very harsh.
I did like The Strokes conditioner and also like their Caca Rouge henna bars for hair color. I think their henna is reasonably priced, simple to apply and delivers consistent results. |

The Strokes is a gorgeous product, i also like their h'suen wen hua hair moisturiser but i don't get round to using them as i normally use ojon.
The snake oil, i bought when i was suffering from dandruff, used it once and then threw it away. the smell was horrendous and it didn't do anything. :-& |

I don't like bar shampoos in general, so I wasn't impressed when I tried one of the lush ones. I think their products are just ordinary. |
