| I have some bottles left over from last summer. Will they still work or does the active ingredient go bad? |

| Try it out on your leg or something..it won't turn into poison, maybe just become ineffective. |

| I once used a self tanning lotion that was expired. I thought, "oh what harm could it cause"? Well I was right on what harm could it cause, because as far as medically no harm was caused to my skin, however what I found was although I rubbed it in very well as you should with any self tanning lotions, what I found was I had spots with no brown. I later realized that the lotion had separated, even though I shook the lotion up really well before I applied it. I later found that the oils in the lotion had separated causing it to only have the effective "tanning" product in some of the lotion. |

| They should have a little symbol on the bottle - it looks like a jar with a number inside. That number represents the number of months you have to use the product. If there isn't anything like that then I would recommend that 6-9 months is the general rule for lotions esp tanning ones. Not only might the colour 'turn' and you come out looking funny, but you could irritate your skin. And repairing your skin might cost more than a new bottle of self-tanner. |

| I think it typically last a year. You should read the description on the box or tube, as the expiration date should be printed on it. I won't use anything that has expired more than a month. |

Like with all tanning creams try it on a patch of skin that you don't expose usually. AMybe the top of your thigh or your stomach.. But if it wasn't an expensive product throw it out (I have a difficult time purging products I paid alot of $$$$ for  |

| I agreed, depending on how many tanning lotion you use, but I guess our body is worth more than one type of tanning lotion. It will cost a lot more to fix your skin if you damage your skin. |

| Ya tanning lotion gets expired but its expiry date depends on its natural stuff. If the product is not natural even 20% then it gets expire soon and if any tanning lotion has 70% natural then it gets expired later. mean more the product will be natural the later it gets expired. Everyone must use natural tanning lotion like Peau D'or acause it is almost natural and gets expired later then others. |
