Has anyone else tried the new flatbread pizza that Panera Bread is making? It's called Crispani, and it's like a sauceless thin crust pizza, with a crispy yet chewy crust and topped with gourmet ingredients. My favorite kind is called the "Wild Mushroom Crispani," and it's topped with roasted crimini mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, basil, garlic, ruby grapefruit olive oil, fontina, and mozzarella. DH and I share one all the time with a cup of soup, and it is DIVINE! Seriously, I have been having like, 1 a week since they came out with it---- it's totally addicting, so beware! It's not that expensive either (under $10), so if anyone lives near a Panera and loves mushrooms or gourmet pizzas, it's absolutely worth checking out. |

Mmmmmmmmmm that sounds delicious. I LOVE mushrooms. Unfortunatley I have never heard of Panera so I will assume we don't have one here in Toronto. But sounds like something I should make myself one day. Cheese and mushrooms? Can't go wrong. All I need is a great bottle of wine to wash it all down. ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Hmmm... I was afraid of that... maybe Panera is just a US thing? And you are SO right about the wine to wash it down... I just got a delicious pinot noir that I'm just achin to crack open, lol! |

I also just noticed this new menu line, but it's for dinner only and it costs 9 dollars. I felt I can get a bigger size of pizza with that kind of money. Hope they have it for lunch |

Panera ROCKS!! I love so many of their sandwiches and stand there like a fool drooling over all the menu when I'm supposed to be ordering. I also can't resist the dang chips that come with the sandwiches...no control AT ALL.
I'm visiting my mom next week and she's two seconds away from a Panera, so guess where we'll be going for dinner and guess what I'll be trying?
They sound YUMMY!

Update: Today I found out that Panera has punch cards where if you buy 8 coffee drinks you get one free. This is huge for me considering that I drink a couple of their cappuccinos a week. I haven't seen it advertised though, so just ask them for a card the next time you go. |

Bad news!! I just heard that panera is thinking of discontinuing the Crispanis because they aren't selling well enough. That would be a total bummer for me because I've become quite addicted to them. Ladies who like the Crispanis, if you get the chance please pick one up this week--- it might be enough to boost sales and encourage Panera to keep them around for a while yet. |

You just made me check out panera's menu online. Everything looks so good except the sodium content
There is one next to the asian market I visit every few weeks. May have to swing by there tomorrow... |

Oh, I just had to see this thread didn't I
I'm totally addicted to Panera! There scones, pecan rolls, bagels, turkey sandwiches, French onion soup etc., etc.
I pass one on the way home and have thought of nothing since seeing this thread. Six hours and counting before getting off work! |
