Hey everyone..
I need some recommendations on Ingrown Hairs. What products work best? How long have you been using it? Are there any home remedies which could reduce this problem?
Thank you for your time. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

Oh my goodness! TEND SKIN! Lol.
I used to shave "down there" and I'd get ingrown hairs and sometimes a small red patch or two (ewww, I know). Anyhow, I began waxing and the waxer lady saw my ingrowns and made me buy the Tend Skin. Best thing I've ever purchased, absolutely incredible product. I have NO more ingrown hairs and the ones I did have went away- yay. Lol. Apparently EDS sells the product for much cheaper than your average salon or spa. Anyhow, good luck!

There is a recipe for homemade Tend Skin in the DIY thread ... for those who prefer a Do-It-Yourself solution.

I swipe good old face toner along my bikini line after shaving. Works well for me. |

After I started using "BikiniZone" cream I don't have problems with ingrown hair anymore. I got it at a drug store in Canada (London Drugs). It is a topical analgesic cream but somehow it prevents ingrown hair. |

If you are going to DIY, make sure you use uncoated asprin and crush them finely. Simply dissolving the asprin in alcohol or WH won't be as effective.

I've found that exfoliation with a loofah does a lot to prevent ingrown hairs. |

The best product for ingrown hair is PFB vanish. It doesn't have the strong smell that Tend Skin does and works great on areas with ingrowns.

Its really important to exfoliate the affected area: whether it be physically (e.g. loofah, scrub) or chemically (AHAs, BHAs, e.g. TendSkin).
I have tried TendSkin and find it to be a nice product. But I feel like I need to use a lot for it to be effective. The Bikini Zone cream mentioned? I went through lots of tubes and the stuff isn't cheap.
But the best stuff? Princereigns serum, available here on EDS.com. I haven't used anything better! |
