I was wondering what your opinion was about this simple toner. I don't like using many products and love natural home made products. I mix lemon juice and water and apply it (more parts water than lemon). It feels good but I'm concerned, not sure if it actually does more damage than good, but it feels pretty nice.
Also, how well does it do at keeping minimal oil at bay?
I heard lemon juice is a natural AHA so it's good. Have you guys ever used it before? I've tried acv before, but I couldn't handle the smell much so I opted out of that.
Let me know what you think I read every response because you guys are really knowledgable! I learn so much here. |

I always put lemon juice in my toner but only a small amount. Just be aware that you have to use a good sunscreen as it does make your skin more sensitive to the sun. I do include oils wilth my toner as well without problem. |

I'm generally not a big fan of toners, although I have tried using my own homemade rosewater based toner before & that was ok. But I will definitely also give this a go, thanks for the tip! |

Lemon juice might be too acidic, might be drying out your skin too. I would use cucumber instead. |

How about apple cider vinegar? I heard it does good things as a facial toner.. |

I have tried lemon before and it dried my face and made it burn. I almost felt like it took out all the moisture. My suggestion if you are looking for a good toner, try Witch Hazel. I use that in my asprin masks |

Some dermatologists have commented that applying lemon juice directly is harmful to skin. But my mothers used to do facial with lemon, honey. She said it glows afterward. So i think only if you add a few drops of lemon juice, it is ok.
Of course, sunscreen afterwards is important |
